Go and practice such inhuman laws in the North or Afghanistan. Not in Oduduwa land. If anyone wants to impose religious laws on Yoruba people it should be the isese laws because it's part of our culture and tradition before the fake foreign religions came.
Then, why did you have English law(common law)?. Why don't you go and implement common law in Britain instead of oduduwa land?. Is common law from your oduduwa?. See double standards

Shariah court and its law is dead on arrival in Yoruba land.
Unfortunately you don't have a say. With few Saudi Dollars a beautiful sharia court building will soon spring up in Ibadan and Oshogbo. At least it will give the two rustic towns a face lift.

Let me add my voice:
1 - Nigeria was a British colony, and obviously that's why we had the common law implemented.
2 - The common law is fundamentally secular in its practice and application in Nigeria.

Secular: Not subject to or bound by religious rule; not belonging to or living in a monastic or other order.

Is Sharia law secular?

If that happens in Ibadan and Osogbo, we already know that the fate of Enugu, Awka, Owerri, Aba, Onitsha, Nnewi etc is already sealed. Ibo no dey joke with dollars, all the bravado na BD (before dollars entered conversation), after that na AD and it won't be limited to face lift, na entire body lift with no trace of any ancient ancestry. it’s dead on arrival. Do you know how many years they have making series of moves to establish shariah law and its court niii. In the end, they all failed woefully in their plans. They will fail woefully again

I don't care about your omoluabi that made your people lost Ilorin to Fulani.

I don't care abut your omoluabi that ipob called your capital, Lagos no man's land.

I don care about your omoluabi receiving insults from those you accommodated and even threatening your existence in your own land.

I don't care about your omoluabi that everybody insulting your papa, your mama, rubbishing your monarchs, rubbishing your heritages, rubbishing your existence.

I don't care about your omoluabi that Iswap, boko haram, isis, Fulani herds surrounded your land but busy talking about sharia shit.

I don't care about your omoluabi nonsense that obi fraudulently won lagos in 2023 election with 10k vote and ipob immediately hoist Biafra flag all over your Lagos.

Omoluabi does not mean been stupid. Thanks.

Sharia law in Nigeria is legal under the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly in the northern states that have adopted it. The key constitutional sections that allow for the implementation of Sharia law include:

1. Section 6(5)(k) – Establishment of Sharia Courts

This section recognizes the existence of Sharia Courts of Appeal at both the state and federal levels, allowing them to adjudicate matters of Islamic personal law.

2. Section 38 – Freedom of Religion

This section guarantees Nigerians the right to practice and manifest their religion, including following Islamic law if they choose to.

This has been used to justify the implementation of Sharia in states where the majority of people are Muslims.

3. Section 275 – Creation of a State Sharia Court of Appeal

This section allows any state with a Muslim majority to establish a Sharia Court of Appeal to handle civil matters involving Islamic personal law (e.g., marriage, inheritance, and family disputes).

4. Section 277 – Jurisdiction of the Sharia Court of Appeal

Defines the limits of Sharia law, restricting it to personal matters involving Muslims (such as marriage, inheritance, waqf, and guardianship).

Criminal matters under Sharia law are controversial because the Nigerian Constitution already defines a common legal framework under secular law.
Is there any Muslim majority state in the south West?

Oga in all the six states in the south West the population is generally mixed between Islam, Christianity, and traditional religions. Osun State, in particular, has a strong Muslim presence, but it is not an outright Muslim-majority state.

Even in Osun State, their strong presence is limited to Iwo, Ede, and Ikirun where Christian presence and Traditional worshippers also are very strong. So, they're only noisy.

Lolzzzzzzzz are you cleared now?
Ignorance is a big tools affecting us in this part of the world, imagine something that has nothing to do with you o, ILORIN is a case study, it is a Yoruba land, there is Muslims and Christians there and infact traditionalist are there too everyone is living independently and there is Sharia court.
What do you mean that it has nothing to do with me.

Does Sharia not affect businesses and lives of Christians and idol worshippers in Kaduna, Kano etc where Sharia is practiced.

It has a lot to do with us judging from you Muslims modus operandi in States that it is being practiced.

That is exactly what you want to replicate in the South West and it will not be accepted.

That attempt to decieve us into accepting Sharia in the South West can't work.

Ilorin that you used as a case study is not a conducive place for every non Muslims, you have turned the place to an Islamic State so much that they attacked some idol worshippers when doing procession last year because they opined that Kwara is a Muslim state.

How many isese people are there in ILORIN?
How many Muslims are there in southwest?

Then benefits of Sharia in what sense pls?
We have numerous benefits of Sharia court enjoyed by the Muslims.
I don't understand what number has to do with it

Are you saying Isese people do not have the right to practice their religion in Ilorin because they are not there in large numbers?

In that case, why should Islam be practiced in Ekiti or Ondo?

No region is as progressive as the SW.

Let extremism alone.
- A "progressive" bunch should embrace Shariah law and courts. The marginalisation of the South West Muslims is injustice. Let them have their way by respecting their religious rights. Thanks.

Sir, if you commit a crime that requires sharia judgement, kindly a request your Muslim council to transfer your case to the North were Sharia is been practice. We will support your Transportation. Allow the SW to have their peace.
