This is exactly what you get when misfits are given power to lead nations...! You can't tell me a corruption-free and development-driven democracy will give room for such rebellion and military coups. |

Congolese president is weak because he's a dishonest leader, otherwise he would have got sufficient support from the populace to deal with the devilish Paul Kagame who is sponsoring the rebels against hus country. |

OkCornel:Your perspective reflects the painful lessons learned from history. The Congolese people initially supported Laurent-Désiré Kabila, believing he would bring positive change after Mobutu’s decades-long rule. However, his alliance with foreign powers, particularly Rwanda and Uganda, led to prolonged instability, resource exploitation, and immense suffering. We have learned from the mistakes of 1997 and understand the dangers of supporting rebel movements backed by foreign interests. The suffering and exploitation that followed Kabila’s rise to power, particularly with the involvement of Rwanda and Uganda, serve as a stark warning. This is why many Congolese today are determined to defend the current government against any foreign-backed rebellion. They recognize that instability only benefits external forces seeking to plunder the country’s vast resources. The priority now is to strengthen national unity, reinforce sovereignty, and push for internal reforms that truly serve the interests of the Congolese people. |

Omoawoke:Well said. Europeans really did and are still doing us dirty. And our blind leaders are their willing tools... I was never thought history in my secondary school. The first time I came in contact with history books in our school library, it was old books about the history of the western world. I had no choice but to read those. Now that the internet has made it easy to get books, I'm gradually learning the history of 9ja, Afrịka and other countries of interest. The current system of education we have here is totally fụcked up. Complete rubbish! I'll never leave my kids at the sole care of the illiterate teachers we have in schools these days. They're mostly interested in teaching kids how to speak English. No true pedagogy. We need an educational revolution in Africa. |

Noblechykk:The worse part is that they don't even know what's happening there but jump on the bandwagon of western media to support rubbish. The M23 rebels are people from Eastern Congo. They have been oppressed, killed & all manner of crimes don to them simply because the central govt wants the mineral resources there. Let them breakaway now, govt say no, oya treat them with respect govt say no, den kamala finally burst. The people of gomer are tutsi people of Rwanda the French dubiously mapped into congo so why would Paul kagame not be involved in protecting his people from Cong DR govt. It's just like if SW were a country with Lagos being capital and yorubas in benè & Togo were being killed won't yorubas in Nigeria intervene? You can imagine congo govt cut off power and water to the people off Gomer ![]() |

43Ronin:This argument is the same excuse that has been used for decades to justify Rwanda’s interference in eastern Congo—but it’s a false narrative designed to cover up resource looting and geopolitical manipulation. Here’s why: M23 is not a legitimate "oppressed group"—it is a Rwandan-backed militia. The M23 rebels claim to be fighting for the rights of Tutsis in eastern Congo, but in reality, they are a proxy army for Rwanda. Numerous UN reports have exposed Rwanda’s direct military and financial support for M23. These rebels do not just fight for "protection"—they terrorize, kill, and displace millions of Congolese civilians. Rwanda’s interest is not in protecting Tutsis—it’s in stealing Congo’s minerals. The areas M23 occupies (North Kivu, Ituri) are rich in coltan, gold, and other rare minerals. Rwanda is one of the biggest exporters of coltan in the world, yet it has almost no coltan mines—where do you think it comes from? Eastern Congo. The “ethnic argument” is a smokescreen. Yes, colonial borders created issues, but this is not just about ethnicity. If Kagame was truly concerned about Tutsis in Congo, he would advocate for their rights peacefully, not send armed rebels to occupy cities and kill civilians. Many Congolese Tutsis do not support M23 and just want to live in peace. Cutting off water and power is a wartime measure, not ethnic oppression. This happens in conflicts worldwide. Rwanda has also cut off supplies to its own people when it serves its strategic interests. The real question is: Why is M23 waging war in Congo in the first place? The answer: control of resources. The truth is simple: M23 is not fighting for Tutsi rights—it is fighting to help Rwanda steal Congolese wealth. The sooner people stop falling for this ethnic excuse, the sooner real solutions can be found. |

How many cases have your saint black anti grant agencies successfully prosecuted. Yaya Bello with all evidence is a free man. |
