TEMIT0PE:Hi again! Thank you so much for your support. My SVR has returned PASSED, does it mean that my school has confirmed the certificate? Also, what do I need to do next? Request for the ECA report? Thank you so much. |

Hello, You are welcome. Yes, it means your school has confirmed issuing the certificate. Next step: request for ECA report on the portal. Make payment and It will be shared with you once it is ready. Oagoro: |

Good day people, Please I have a concern I hope to submit my application by next month but something is bothering me. Before i moved to Lagos, i got my reference letter from my former employer. This was last year. Now, i saw an update from them that they moved to a new location. The address written on my reference letter is the old one as they were still there when they gave me the letter. Please should I be scared? Can i still use the reference letter I got from them? What can i do in this situation? |

Stunningsail:IMO it’s probably better to get a recently dated reference letter from them to forestall needless scrutiny on your application. One way Processing officer verify employment from GCMS I’ve read is check google maps to confirm physical location and check CAC website to verify registration and address. If they have concerns, they request for paystubs and rarely reach out to whoever signed the letter. I’ve read a GCMS and Judicial review that an officer from Lagos VAC was sent to confirm address, before the application was rejected. In this era that ITA is a pot of gold, it’s probably worth it to travel down and get an updated one than wish you did down the line. Cheers |

My bosses, im currently in canada and trying to apply for CEC. I need foreign work experience. I have 7 months of valid foreign experience (in Nigeria) that I can add now, but it's not enough. I need to find some other way to make up the remaining 5 months of work so I am thinking I can use NYSC. is this possible? to use NYSC as work experience? it was by the government and I was paid for it so I should but im not sure. if anyone has done this and was successful in their PR application can I know? and if so what did you add to your application. I have my Nysc certificate of completion along with pictures, but I dont have paystubs and would need to get them. how do I even go about that... Thanks |

Gabriel312:I just realized that some companies run for a while before they register their businesses. I wonder if this would affect people’s application |

Gabriel312:Not much you can do. Get evidence to show they've been in existence before registration. Write a compelling letter of explanation to back it up and hope for the best. Also, use the company's official letterhead paper, let them write to confirm they've been in business long enough before registration. Have it stamped just like you did with the reference letter and attached. |

Go to page 1 of this thread. There are stories of people who have successfully used NYSC experience and gotten their PR. malakiMal: |

Good morning, Please guys, i am hearing, post ITA, submitting documents after 30 days, but less than 60 days (the bench mark) is liable to 50% refusal, and 50% acceptance. Please, how true/false is this? |

Hi guys, Just wanted to ask the people that got their PR's how often were your employers contacted? or were they contacted at all? I kind of burnt a bridge at my workplace, I have all the docs but not sure what they would say if they were contacted. Thanks |

I've been struggling to max out in ielts and I have a BSc in engineering. Presently I'm thinking of exploring other pathways that best suit my circumstances. Additionally, due to the financial burden, I couldn't afford to pursue an additional degree but I had a COREN. Does the latter make with my BSc make up for an additional degree? Also, I learnt of a caregiver pilot program to be launched by March. Please can anyone shed more lights in respect of this. |

Hi everyone. I just got notified that my medicals for Canada PR have been submitted to ircc today. Please how Long does it typically take to get My PR. I am concerned because my rent will be due soon and I don't want to renew. I will like to get this information so I can adequately plan. Thank you. |

nwizu042:If you just passed the medical exam as a PNP applicant, it typically takes within 5 weeks. However, if you're an FSW applicant, it may take about 3 months after the medical exam passed to receive the passport request, assuming there are no delays. Keep in mind, IRCC processing times can be unpredictable. |

nwizu042:I'd advice you keep an open mind and continue living your life normally for now because IRCC can be very unpredictable most times |

Hi Everyone, I am not sure why I am not getting the 15 points for study in Canada. I did a 2 semester course (8 months) which is also equivalent to a 1 year program. After putting all the details required, I didn't get any score for it. On the crs calculator on IRCC website, I have additional 15 points but it's not the same on my actual profile. I will appreciate if anyone knows what is going on. |

Please I'd like to enquire about the PNP. I have an inlaw who stays in Ontario. Will she be able to nominate me for PNP to earn an additional 600 points for an express entry. Please I need an explanation on how this works |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by kevoh(m): 12:45pm On Jan 31, 2025 |
yusufhaji:That's not how it works. It is only the province that can nominate you leading to additional 600 points. But you can claim 15 'CRS' points for siblings of which your inlaw does not fall into that category. |

kevoh:Please what are the eligibility criterion to be nominated by a province? |

Asking for a friend....... He got nomination from one of the Canadian provinces. Currently, he's seeking an assylum in one of the European countries. Though he'd been on the process to move to Canada before he 'japaed' to Europe. Would this affect the outcome of his Canada PR? Your suggestions and advices would be appreciated. |
