RIP to the deceased soldiers. Your observation about them behaving like immortal is right. Once they are on road in their uniforms either driving or not, they feel that they can't be harmed or killed.

You can at least be logical rather than sentimental. The incident happened while the Nigerian Army was having a 15km bi-annual routine march in the area. It is pathetic that a preponderance of Nigerians reason less, but type more.

If not that an average Nigerian soldier is a psychopath,I should be sympathetic to the misfortune of those soldiers.
But unfortunately NO!
Who knows what curse they have incurred from an aggrieved civilian, and he or she spoke out of anger and grief.
Much of what we tag " accidents" are manifestation of curses of any type.

Gentleman says in saner climes, soldiers are not seen outside.

I know that in countries all over, it's not unusual to find military personnel outside their barracks doing one sort of duty or the other, exercising, etc.
