The Attorney general has already clarify that the office of the Inspector general is now of a 4 years tenure in accordance wth the new police act. Irrespective of age or years of service. It simply means that if you are appointed IG even if it's a day before serving for 35 years or your 60th birthday, you must remain IG for 4 years before you leave. The present IG was only lucky that he was IG already when the law was signed by the President but the act was amended during President Buhari 🙏🙏🙏 |
