Abia State Government has concluded plans towards making Igbo language a compulsory subject of learning in all schools in the State.

The development has received wide commendation and eulogy to His Excellency, Gov Alex Chioma Otti who is determined to see the promotion of Igbo language in SouthEastern State of Abia, stressing that Igbo will continue to retain its dominance as language of trade, commerce and enterprise.

There's one ebonyi professor that translated physics test book to igbo.

What do you mean? So Lagos should not teach Yoruba because other tribes are there. This ur statement nor follow abeg. Every states has the right to teach their native languages irrespective of whether other tribes are there or not.

Lagos and Abuja will never be the same with other States in Nigeria no matter how what. The two States are the melting pot of diversity and inter-ethnic relationship compared to other States of the country.

That doesn't mean the two states you mentioned above don't have their own indigenous language and they should forget about their indigenous languages because there are people from other states who are residing there. So they still have the right to teach their indigenous languages in their schools. I should in Warri, and during my Junior secondary days, we were taught Itsekiri language. So whether you are from Uhrobo, Ijaw, Esan, Yoruba, Igbo, Kwale, Isolo, etc. as far as you are in that school, you will be taught the Itsekiri language. Some other schools too are offering Uhrobo, some Ijaw, some Isolo, depending on the location of the school.

They have all relocated to Akwa Ibom State because of their inability to understand Igbo language or learn it. Abia is 100% homogeneous Igbo State just like Anambra, Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi States.
