Innovation should make things easier, better, and smoother. I have never seen any advance country complain that students using AI as a disadvantage. Only in Nigeria. And it's very funny. This has a lot to say about the standard of the Nigerian educational system. The disadvantages of AI are totally different. Nigerian teachers would want you to memorise 100 first elements in the periodic table. Lol. They would want you to keep driving old manual vehicle gear system. If they have their way, they will never use any sustainable building materials. Nigeria don't always want to improve. This is the reason advance nations think everyone is smart in Nigeria because of the ones they have there. The truth is that the very few ones who cannot cope with the inefficiency here moved out. That's the truth. |

These practices are controllable . A collaborative effort is required by the federal government, ministry of education, Nigeria institutions and parents to roll out strategy aiming at wiping this ugly menace in our educational system. Emphasis on practical base learning for assignment, assessment & examination should be adopted. Deployment of advance technology to monitor students during exams is recommended. |

When ever you choose to speak to a Journalist, do not give your name or personal details. Instead, ask to be reported as anonymous. See how the names of current students are being reported. What if the school decides to make an example of them? Wetin to gain? |

If it was during my time in school this AI revolution came about, 1st class is a sure banker, last last we end up with good 2.1. Nothing like visiting library, or going through endless volumes of books. AI has simplified everything. Funny thing is, still alot of the kids in this generation don't take advantage of it. Innovation is a plus and should not be frowned upon, rather we adapt and move forward with it. It is a fantastic innovation. |

LoL see as mumu le turer is saying they should set complex questions that AI cannot easily solve. Can you imagine? That is a very dumb man. Are you more sophisticated than AI? Which kind of difficult question do you want to set? |

ednut1:AI does not give same answer please, anyone that uses that thing knows that much. it can give you ten different answers. You can ask it to rephrase the answer and ot will do just that, you can ask ot to simplify the answer for a ten year old to understand and it will do just that. That professor knows nothing about that AI of a thing. |

Angelfrost:Wouldn't be about mentally lazy or uncreative if you ask me, but the students most likely do not have the TIME to be 'wasting' on assignments when there's AI that could do it for them - efficiency. |

I mastered AI as an educator for my field and I can tell you that i can easily know who is using AI or not. Over reliance on AI for solutions for me is zero participation in the work flow from the user just generated AI work. I frown at it. Over the years. AI can infact become a very important tool but people either don't use it properly or over use it improperly . No effort at all in smart prompting and engineering solutions or answer, that is what I frown at the most. Chatgpt can either give you an answer or give you the answer, there is a difference and most people don't know that. People don't even know that ai models learn too from us the users base on how smart our queries are. |

Let them go and sit doen jaree. Most of them, the same notebool and handout they used in 2005 is what they are still using to date. Almost everyone of them alternate questions in exams. They don't set fresh questions again. During my study in UI, It was only one lecturer in Engineer Faculty that sets questions every year. You will pick 10 years consecutive past questions, you will never find a repetition and the questions are not in text books. If you don't understand the course you will definitely fail. His exams is always open book |

This is an indication that the traditional means of measuring student's intelligence has outlived his usefulness. Moreover, it is a wakeup call for professors to be more creative in the area of student's assessment. If a lecturer is creative, there are assignments he will give to his students that AI won't be able to help them. |

FreeStuffsNG:If AI can solve the problem, then create a problem that AI will get wrong. But if AI can solve it, then why bother? It’s like asking a student to solve 5,638,828,827,272 * 67,278,288,929, which a calculator can easily handle. As a professor, you can be smarter by giving students assignments that AI will struggle with and there are plenty of those kinds of questions. Or questions, you can easily detect that the answer is from AI. |

I JUST STOPPED READING WHEN I SAW THAT 40% OF OVER 100 MBA STUDENTS SUBMITTED SAME ANSWERS 🤣 ASK CHATGPT SAME QUESTION EVEN THOUGH THE RESPONSE WILL BE GENERIC, THEY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. NOT TO TALK OF STUDY AID TOOLS LIKE NOTEBOOKML FROM GOOGLE. MAKE SCHOOL FUXK OFF. INTERNET IS OUR SCHOOL SINCE FROM THE DAYS WE KNEW ONLY YOUTUBE |

I knew it would come round to this and perhaps even worse. I'm just so sure that if anyone of my set had known about AI, no one would have passed out with anything less than first class. AI can help you do all your assignment and prepare you for exams and tests so far you have your internet |

Ironically, Nigerian lecturers are complaining that AI is making Nigerian students to be academically lazy. My thought is: If the Nigerian lecturers are not also academically lazy, how come they were not able to develop the AI, all these years? 🤔 |

I have been using AI to do a project for the past week and I'm so disappointed in how it makes up information and changes the information you give it. You can't cheat knowledge by doing research yourself. My fear is that we will have mass ignorance in the future where people will be arguing using wrong info of AI and this will cause more problems for the society. |

NOETHNICITY:The same AI will even take over 70% of Jobs in the nearest future. It has proven to be more efficient than human in different profession. The question is how prepared are we for the 4th Industrial revolution. Even the lecturers may not be needed because AI will take over the Classroom. |
