Pics: Reason Why Shariah Court Will Never Thrive In Yorubaland! by LegendHero(op): 1:22am On Feb 02, 2025
The recent noise about the Shariah court, stirred by a few disgruntled individuals, is dying down. I came across a picture that perfectly illustrates why religious extremism—whether Christian or Muslim—cannot thrive in Yorubaland.

The image shows twin brothers: one an Alhaji, the other a pastor. Their children, both Christians and Muslims, printed a celebratory bag for them. This reflects the reality of almost 80% Yoruba extended families, where both faiths coexist peacefully.

External forces pushing for a Shariah court in Yorubaland are on a futile mission. Religion here is personal, not political. If you seek religious guidance, go to your imam or pastor. Institutionalizing religion through a separate court is unnecessary and unwelcome.

God bless Yorubaland.
God bless Traditional, Muslim, and Christian Yoruba.

Yoruba land is ripe to be taken over. The time is now. Shariah or nothing.

Stop talking bunkum.

Muslims make up 40-60% of the population of southwest. Shariah is a constitutional right of Muslims. You cannot deny them that.

You want to do the same thing you lots accuse Israel of doing to Palestinians, denying them what is "legitimately" theirs.

Shariah must come to southwest. Are Muslims in Nigeria not subject to the Sultan of Sokoto?

Is southwest no tolerant of religion again?

You probably mean South East. The guy that signed the Sultan response is an Ibo man like you.

Shariah will be established in Ibo land. Probably it will rid the region of IPOB terrorism

[color=royalblue]I really don't know why these guys won't keep the Sharia up north.

Nigeria has enough problems already.

The North wants to enslave South West, the way we did in Ilorin. Ilorin is been ruled by a Northern Fulani Emir. Other Yoruba Emirs always bow to him.

An average yoruba man aligns with a religion(Christianity or Islam) simply because of what he can benefit from it.
Deep down, he worships Sango, Obatala, Ogun, Osun etc and the fulani Muslims are aware of this.
See how male twins dey answer different surnames because of religionhuh

That is why the Caliphate wants to introduce Sharia to yoruba land in order to curb all the fake Muslims who only joined the religion for northern favours, federal government jobs, contracts, northern connections etc.

The Shehu of Borno asked Usman Dan Fodio what his quest was towards Borno because they already practice Islam long ago. That is food for thought if you are reasonable.

hogwash! Let the people of southwest speak their minds. How many are those people advocating for Shariah sef? Most Yoruba folks don't want it so rest. Shove it down your throat and keep it in the north
