Apart from fake products, what exactly are they producing in the South East? For a region that make so much noise about being wealthy and feeding others, how come they don’t contribute anything to national prosperity? |

tito44:This is not true. The Southwest doesn't produce up to 90% of Nigeria's cocoa, but it's the major producing region. |

Ifyz0001:That's not true. Nigeria is the world's biggest producer of cassava. Thailand is the biggest exporter of processed cassava. There's nothing wrong with exporting a product even if the demand is very high in the country. |

Enough of all this argument here you're already turning it to a tribal war. The thing is does Cross river state contribute to 80% of Nigeria cocoa export NO. But currently after Ondo state Cross river is the second highest producer of cocoa in Nigeria and I see it surpassing Ondo state in the next 5 to 10 years. Southwest is contributing to most of Nigeria cocoa export because we have 5 states here producing cocoa ...when you remove Ondo state then I can say Cross river produces more than the remaining 4 states in south west. |

Ifyz0001:That's the business of the consumer, not the producer. If the producer gets a higher price elsewhere, that's who it will be served to. Capitalism isn't a patriot. |
