Why did this Cardiologist stubbornly go on a law suit that he knew his chances could be slim to the extent he lost his license? He will still make money. When there is life, there is hope.

Something legal negotiation or out of court negotiation could solve, after all the money is still for the welfare of his kids( the woman would not want below standard for the kids because of divorce), while he works more time ( at least for some years, he is still a young man) and relax himself away from the burden if him raising the kids with all the associated stress that goes with it ie his money working for him.
