This is so surprising that I still can't figure out how it works as one of Nigeria pro musical analyst.

You would see favorite musicians nominated for a top category and it's glaring clear who's winning it due to its work and hit songs trending past and present.

On the D day of the event and the winner is......to someone you didn't even thought would win. Like I just don't understand, how can someone who wins a Grammy the songs are barely played in their own country just because they are streamed in the usa they carry awards to them. Is that the only criteria?

Meanwhile in Nigeria where they are from people barely even know them just one or two hit tracks, meanwhile the real popular musician is left hanging like I still don't understand.

Does this have to do with international features? Votes or nepotism. Or Is it an award made for americans alone? I would really like to know..

my brother, no be fight oo!!.....like I said , one man's food is another man's poison....That u don't root for David doesn't mean other persons don't too......... Davido's songs are more of like danceable songs which I believe is why people just get to like him atleast and more compared to his personality......I mean, what's life without shaking off, feeling free and catching fun all to things that add spice to the moments........Nothing concern APC for this matter abeg.......and yeah, kizz and bnxn are good

davido doesn't give american or western audience what they want, his songs are more appealing to africans not the western world, to get the grammy you need to compromise like wiskid and burna boy did, they featured western artist with songs that goes with there audience, when davido features western artist he continues with songs that only africans can feel

Yes i am angry coz its an insult to mention davido in the conversation of Grammy and frankly if you guys keep doing it yall might ruin davidos music career. This answer I've been looking for. You are right. Recently, I watched a video where some Grammy winners were giving shoutout to Beyoncé for being an instrument to winning their Grammy award. Sincerely, there have been a lot of conspiracies to that effect. I believe in every rumour, there is an element of truth.

Grammy shouldn't be a validation for Nigerian music but truth is that Tens deserved the grammy she won cause her song is the only useful song there. The rest are noise

Grammy is not based on the popularity of the song.

There are a few people that sit to decide the winners... just like the Oscars.

Now it is rumoured that some one like Diddy (before his scandal) has influence with a few of these "decision makers" and has helped to nudge some artists towards the award.
