There is no stable electricity, grid is still collapsing last time I checked, vandals (bandits, terrorists) are still allowed to vandalize electrical installations and transmission and beat their chest after perpetrating the devious act

On Band A, N2k will give you 8.8kwh. May be your friend is not really on Band A.

Okay, so you want government to take a loan of N10 trillion naira, every year, on top of the other loans it has to take , for the next ten years, to guarantee project funding that would expand our power generation capacity to 88000 MW.

And you want us to keep taking more loans to pay for maintenance and upkeep.....

This current government does not care about any service delivery. Their only objective is to find ways to increase everything.
Increasing electricity tariff for distribution companies that cannot effectively meter customers and replace obsolete infrastructure. No single improvement has been witnessed from the increment of last year but another one is here again and the usual lie is subsidy.
Telecom companies too would increase there own, no improvement.

It varies, my friends (3 in a mini flat ), they pay 140+, yet they aren’t home all the time. Imagine if they were home cooking and using other appliances. Tariffs are high, and it’s getting higher either in the western states or in Africa.

in the UK, let's say 150 pounds X #1860.22 (Oanda current rate) = #279,033 per month

Here in Nigeria with 24 hours power

3 units of 2hp AC (1 room, sitting room and dinning/kitchen) being used for 10 hours for 30 days in a month gives 2 units X 3 X 10 X 30 = 1800 units (they have heaters in their room, sitting room, dinning area, passage and even rest room too in UK)
Use of Electric cooker 4000 Watts (2 face) for 4 hours for 30 days in a month gives 4 units X 4 X 30 = 480
Pressing iron 1500 Watts used for 1 hour and in 30 days in a month gives 1.5 units X 1 X 30 = 45 units
Fan, Fridge, TV, decoder etc 1500 Watts in 8 hours/day and 30 days gives 1.5units X 8 X 30=360

Adding all 360 + 45 + 480 + 1800 = 2,685 units X 209= #561,165

So which is more?

And most Nigerians are yet to be metered...

This Tinubu-led government is insensitive, clueless, directionless, arrogant, and incompetent.
