I hereby declare that any Nigerian after reading my review still end up falling for TEMU subtle scam is an irredeemable idiot. This is why I put this post on Nairaland. Today, I spent additional 7500 naira to ship back the inferior item. Of course I will get my money back thrice because I didn't engage in fraudulent or ungodly means to purchase the item.

If however they allow satan to use them further to steal from me, I will go spiritual on full throttle & revoke everything mysteriously in full. We don do am many times. This is one of the benefits of being a real christian. Na me mess up not listening to the eternal voice.

TEMUscam uses a strategy called "igboman cheating sense"

How ?

When you go to the average igboman shop to buy a product, he will wickedly offer you a cut throat price to test your bargaining strength. For example if an item is selling for 10k, he tells you 75k. The goal is to cheat you and 99% of the time, it works for them because most customers will end up paying 55k.

Now coming to TEMUscam. com, they use a manipulative deceptive discount method to sell their products. For example if an item is selling originally on physical shop for 30k, when you visit TEMU for the first time the same item will be slightly modified to look sophisticated on pictures with a price of 260k and discount of 50%. Bringing the item to 130k. Secondly, they will make it look like they're shipping to you free whereas everything has been calculated, manipulated against you through price rigging and fake product.

After careful analysis of the fan sold to me through deception and discount scamming strategy, the fan is not worth more than 20k in a Nigerian market but whereas it is selling at TEMU at the price of 130k naira.

Currently they're running another fraudulent discount deal called SEASONAL SALE whereby they pretend to offer a discount of 75% to 80%.

Discount on TEMU is nothing but outright fraudulent practices. Discount doesn't exist.

I bought the fan because it looks good and sophisticated on picture but alas, it was a deceptive, fraudulent and inferior advanced toy fan sold to me on TEMU

If they continue in this fraud, I will spiritually destroy their evil business in Nigeria

Hmm! I know I would meet reviews on nairaland,a colleague ordered for earbuds and they couldn't deliver the items and my guy don't know their office to trace, thank God he showed me item on the phone and I saw SPEEDAF,that was his saving grace to get the item as I quickly describe the place to him as he got his stuff as described only that the despatcher was dubious trying to convert the item to his.
A friend of mine ordered a bicycle but the price was too good to be true,he ended up getting a decor delivered to him and we laughed,however he got his refund almost immediately.
I was about to order because of the free gift offer as per discount things hence my coming to nairaland to check something. This is institutional fraud and our customer protection council is asleep.

Truth is The host app isn't the one selling most of the products.. There are sellers using the platform and these sellers are the real scammers. Used to happen with j7mia back then.. That's why Jumia then allowed us to pay when product is delivered. That time man Don use eyes see the product. So, nor be only naija dey scam, even many white people sef dey scam. The sellers are the problem not the platform

I recently bought a new standing fan from TEMU at almost the cost of 130k late December 2024. I received the item today but noticed it was a low quality fan that is far from the description.

Doesn't run on batteries as described on TEMU website. Fan looking like primary school kids projects in China

Fan currently selling at a lower price to catch more naive buyers.
Doesn't blow winds the way I was expecting it to. Infact it works pretty much like hand toy fans.

To make matter worse, I was asked to send back the package to China at my own cost for inspection before a refund can be processed.

JUMIA that Nigerians dey like bad mouth no even do reach 10% of this TEMU deceptive scam, low quality items sold at exorbitant prices.

Writing fake reviews on the internet and many other deceptive fraudulent tendencies.

Please advice me on the best and cheapest courier to ship back the worthless package.

I have bought well over 50 items on temu and all of them has been as expected except the first item I bought which was a soap mould. Then I realized that the fault is usually from buyers most times. Why? Every product comes with a dimension (an estimate of the size,both width and height). So,after my first purchase of about 10 items, only the soap mould which was three items was useless,but when I went back for review,I just found out that the soap mould and it's size was what was described,it was my fault for overlooking the measurements and only focusing on the pictures.
So,I have bought well over 50 products and of course,I have resold so many.
So my tips for buying from temu is, know what you want,check the price and size and if it's too good to be through,check reviews from the product. Because all reviews are from people who have bought the item.
I also thought of a refund for the soap mould,but if I consider the cost from my house to the post office and back which is around 5k,the cost for the refund around 7k, making it a total of 12k whereas the soap mould was around 23k, I decided to convert the mould to a resin art mould instead of the stress. But overall,my dealings with temu after mastering the strategy of checking the size has remained top notch

Lol! Even my Duravolt solar fan sold for only #68,000 in 2026, it's solar and NEPA rechargeable, came with 2 extra bulbs, can play music on it and other stuffs.

If you check through my past posts, you will understand better that I always say things the way it ought to and from my own personal life experiences and not hearsays.

See attached some pictures of the package and funnily I was very careful not to damage any parts. A two year old child would easily pick up this fan with one hand and break It on the floor lol. Also, is now obvious the fan is not a rechargeable fan as advertised. No sign of battery inside. Everything about the fan na scam. How much come be AC lol
