No matter where Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola goes in Osun State, the excitement and love from the people are undeniable. Whether it’s a public function or just a casual visit, we see how the people, young and old, rush to greet him, chant his name, and celebrate his presence. Videos, pictures, and testimonies flood the internet, showing how much the people of Osun still admire and respect him. This is not just because he was a former governor; it’s because of his undeniable impact on Osun and the loyalty he has built over the years. Despite this, Aregbesola was unfairly treated by the same APC he helped build from scratch in Osun. This is the party he nurtured from 2003 when Baba Bisi Akande lost his re-election bid. He worked tirelessly, alongside other progressives, to bring the party back to power in 2010, sustaining it for over a decade. Yet, those who benefited the most from his efforts turned against him, sidelined his supporters, and waged an internal war against him. The injustice meted out against him and the loyal progressives who stood by him is well-documented. Politics is local, and in Osun, we, the Omoluabi Caucus, are deeply rooted in every ward, every local government, and every senatorial district. Our monthly meetings across the state continue to prove our strength and unity. We are not just an ordinary group; we are a formidable political movement with structures on the ground, loyal members, and a clear vision. If anyone thinks we are politically irrelevant, they are deceiving themselves. Now that we have left the APC, there is no going back. We are not ready to wine and dine with the same people who betrayed Aregbesola and his loyalists. Where Aregbesola goes, we go. It is time we form a third force in Osun politics. With our grassroots structure, the love of the people, and Aregbesola’s unwavering popularity, we have everything needed to challenge the existing political order. The recent events where many of our supporters publicly burnt their APC membership cards show that we have moved on. There is no future for true progressives in APC anymore. We must channel our strength into something new, something that truly represents our ideals, our struggles, and our commitment to good governance. The time for a third force is now. Aregbesola remains the most popular politician in Osun, and with his leadership, we can build a movement that will shake the foundations of Osun politics. We are not just followers, we are believers in a cause. And we are ready. Theniceguy

He was not paying salaries? Were you the one paying workers' salary then? He took loans? He embezzled it or used it for Osun project? Just be making irrelevant noise. Why hasn't EFCC invited him? Show us if any Governor in Osun can beat Aregbesola's reach jkpbestseries: |

There's no human being that Nigerians only see on TV that they won't admire when they see him/her in person...even if he's as mean as Idi Amin. It's just human nature. Know this and know peace. |

TheNiceGuy:What more does 'Ogbeni' Rauf Aregbesola want from Osun State? He was governor for eight years by the end of which he had robbed the state treasury to near-bankruptcy; he spent another four years monkeying around as a minister within Buhari's useless administration that set Nigeria economically backwards by no less than 30 calendar years and he was there on the slot of Osun State as mandated by the federal character principle What more do you want for him? |
