These people are just hell bent on scartering yoruba land. Please how has the sharia help the northern states who already embraced it? Is north not still the head quater of poverty and insecurity of Nigeria despite the sharia? How many coropt politician have you ever seen subjecting their selves to the sharia court process in the north? Isn't only the helpless and the week of the society you see being trial under the sharia court in the north?

Since they've been practicing Sharia in the North of what benefits has it brought about in their lives? They remained the poorest in the Country . I expected the CAN president and fractional leaders in the southwest to send a representative to the president and all sitting governors in the southwest to inform them of their intentions....

As we speak, Islamic terrorists and fundamentalists in the Southwest appear to have more influence than other religious adherents...I expected the RCCG, Catholics, and many other Christian organizations to come together and discuss how these laws will affect the public who are not Muslim believers.


This cannot be in the best interest of the Yoruba people. Sharia law is hostile to those who follow it. Our region in Yoruba land is based on Yoruba culture and principles that all of its people adhere to, rather than Islamic laws and norms.

Sharia panels are private affairs, so everybody not interested should steer clear.
But we know the end game is having legal courts, hisbah police and enforced Sharia over everybody.

Sharia court is not a right and has never been.

Those group you are calling on have no standing in this case since the panels are civilian affairs and has no legal or government backing.
Of course, we know their ultimate aim is a legal court with hisbah police enforcers but till then expect little pushback from most influential

Shariah panel settle the case they brought to their panel, if Muslims choose to settle its matter in civil court, it's his choice. But deny those that that want to use (or that have been use) Shariah is not going to be acceptable.
