Alright I will try that…. I’m using generator to boost charge the battery to at least 80%

Please who is using infrared cooker here?
What rate do you normally set it in terms of watt and how effective is the cooker at that rate?

I have very little context so pardon me. I am responding to this purely on the face of the comment. I have been a solar user now for over 8 years. My first system was a 1.2kw (inverter) paired with a 480w solar and 2 Tubular batteries. That system paired with the grid was able to power basic house loads including a 130L chest freezer. The freezer ran for 4 hours a day.

I later upgraded the inverter to 2.4kw (Axpert inverter) and pared it with 1.8kw solar (and same Tubular battery as before) and ran the house completely off-grid from this setup for over 2 years (no NEPA setup)

In all I ran a 24v system from 2016 - 2022 and had most of my basic loads like fridge, freezer, occasional microwave, occasional ironing etc.

Of cause I did not run all the powerful loads all at ones but my point is, design design design. System design is 80% of the work on solar.

Key is performing a proper energy audit. Designing your system around the result of your energy audit. I used 2 tubular batteries, 2.4kw inverter and 1.8kw solar panels to power a 2 bedroom apartment completely off-grid and I lived quite comfortably (as comfortable as you can live without AC LOL)

Even now with a much upgraded system, you can check my daily usage averages at about 1.5kw (when I have 1 AC a freezer, fridge, fan, lots of computers - running in my home lab including a 64 Terabyte NAS with 64g ram and 8 core AMD Ryzen) all of this is running on less than 2kw and when AC is off house load drops to less than 1kw. People don't use as much power as they think. It is fine and very possible to use a lean prudent, low power system you just have to have the whole system well designed from load to generation to storage.

The heat this time of the year caused a significant drop in solar yield. Always remember to factor in the temperature coefficient when purchasing your solar panels so as to have a realistic yield estimate when you factor in the different temperatures we experience throughout the year.

Something a lot of folks miss when trying to go the renewable energy route is using energy efficient appliances. Converting all appliances to energy efficient ones is as important as getting panels and installing batteries. As you can see, most of my appliances are energy efficient.

Energy management is also an important factor, I make use of smart switches which are automated to turn appliances on and off for different set durations.

My biggest energy consuming appliances for the month of January:

I wish people who build houses could give provision to having the house powered by renewable energy and thus make provision for some of these things like output DBs, input source and PV conduit point. Your people had to go through hell to provide this. Good job especially on the wall cracking which was just enough as was needed.

Pls guys i got 2 350w Canadian pannels connected via parrarell to 80a powmr pwm cc and 100ah gel battery. My cc receive highest 70w giving highest 5.5a. pls what could be the reason. I called my installer he said I should add more pannels,which I hv paid him to come install more 2 pannels of same 350 Canadian.

Pls guys what exactly can I do. Will Mppt cc solve this issues.? I wanted to get Mppt cc but my installer said the extra to pannels will help the situation. Pls guys I need una input.

I don't mean to counter or criticize the work done. Just a pointer to the future problems that might arise.

1. THOSE CABLES THAT HAD TO RUN UNDER THE INTERLOCKED PAVES SHOULH HAVE BEEN MARINE GRADED PV CABLES. BEACSUE THE SHIELDS WILL BREAKDOWN DUE TO HUMIDITY AND MIGHT LEAD TO BRIDGING AND SPARKS ON THE LONG RUN.
2. THOSE DIN RAILS IN THE PLASTIC DISTRIBUTION BOXES OUTSIDE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH OUTDOOR GRADED RAILS, BECAUSE THEY WILL CORODE WITH TIME DUE TO HUMIDITY.
3. THE SCREWS, BOLTS AND NUTS SHOULD BE COPPER OR BRASS COATED TO AVOID COROSION.

I set the Absorbtion to 14.4V, and since you can’t change the float voltage of the Controller if you selected lithium battery “Lib”, it will use the same 14.4V as the Float voltage. However, I know that Lithium ion batteries floats at 13.6V.

Tha maximum charging current is 30Amp.

Did you set the battery voltage in the CC ?
Set it yourself, then also use a multimeter to check the battery voltage directly, don't trust the CC's display voltage, use the multimeter's reading to set your bulk and float on the CC, you can reduce the values by 0.2 too just to give some room.
Check if there's any changes.
