I don't understand where Trump is going with the this tariff of a thing. So if iPhone that is designed in America then manufactured in China a tariff will be impose. The main losers here will be the American consumers, because the cost will go up. Trump is asking Chinese manufactures to bring their production to America, but this is not feasible because of the labour cost in America.

Every Asian country has China as its biggest trading partner. No one is fighting China head-on in Asia because they know the consequences. South Korea and Co have already risen, but do you expect Thailand or Malaysia to fight China? Some Chinese got kidnapped in Thailand and Chinese tourists threatened to stop visiting only for the prime minister to apologise and do social media content aimed at appeasing Chinese tourists.

China has arrived. Everyone should accept it.

The guy is right. Even Chinese themselves agree that they are behind the west when it comes to innovation.

Their comparative advantage lies in unrivalled and unparalleled manufacturing scale and a very serious focused government.

Chinese manufacturing scale and prowess is so vast I don't think any other country can compete in another 50 years. China manufacturing value chain is almost 100% for 99% of what they produce.

The only way manufacturing can leave china is if the west or any other country develop a new way of production, like what happened during the industrial revolution when UK took over manufacturing.

The reason why U think china is technological advanced is because whatever is innovated elsewhere, once china gets hold of it, it's game over.
Trust me within few years they will replicate it and produce a cheaper if not a better version.

Look at robotics, electric cars and AI. All were innovated by the west, but right now china is leading in all 3 industry.
China is about to produce more electric cars than all other nations combined. China electric car BYD is set to be the largest car manufacturing company in the world beating even Toyota. They are growing by over 500% every year.

All those tiktok tech application videos doesn't mean innovation.
Showing videos of drones delivering fast food to homes isn't innovation. U can replicate such in Ogbomoso if the demand and resource is available.

Look at driverless cars, despite all the noise on tiktok videos about autonomous cars in china, no Chinese company has achieved any meaningful breakthrough. All they do is some experimental propaganda videos in a very controlled environment.

But let any western company start production of driverless cars, china will take over within few years.

That's their strength. Whether its a good or bad
strength, that's up for debate.
