President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed into law a bill establishing the North-Central Development Commission (NCDC), aimed at driving development in the region, News360 Nigeria reports.

The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, announced the signing of the bill during Tuesday’s plenary session in the Senate chamber.

The NCDC is expected to facilitate economic growth, infrastructure development, and social welfare programs across the North-Central states. This move aligns with the government’s broader efforts to address regional disparities and boost development nationwide.

With this approval, the North-Central region joins other geopolitical zones with dedicated development commissions, including the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the North-East Development Commission (NEDC).

Instead of establishing north east development commission,

North Central development commission

North North development commission

South South development commission

South West development commission

South East development commission

Nigeria delta development commission

And this and that development commission

Why not just ESTABLISH A REGIONAL SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT??

These are the words that best describe these commissions

What's more, the mandate for these commissions are not from the people in the affected areas but some politicians who are looking for the latest cow to milk

For example, what will be the focus of this particular commission?

Will it float an amotekun or ebubeagu like outfit to combat the conflicts prevalent in the zone?

Or will it build roads linking the idoma and nupe people together? People who have no historical or cultural affinity with each other?

The mumu northern slaves are running errands for Fulanis. Until someone whose head is correct opens their heads. Tinubu is the man we need for the moment. There is nothing wrong with Nigerian's economy but the mechanism that is destroying the economy. That is what Tinubu is reengineering. The power that polarized Nigeria political structure. I doubt if Obi can be bold to effect these changes. By the time Tinubu finishes his reforms, Nigeria can never be the same again. The the potential of the country would be realized fully. Whoever is at the centre would not matter again.

Some mumus are abusing him whereas the forebears served Fulanis and they were also programmed to serve the same masters.

Even though am not one of Tinubu main supported but I must say that he's doing well at the moment, though some of his policy's might be too strict. But after his tenure Tinubu could just turned out to be Nigeria best president ever, nice one Mr president
