From the aspect of fertility and reproductive medicine, I can certainly believe that since it’s a high priority in Nigeria with many specialists, so abroad people can take advantage of the exchange rate and give themselves a better chance. Any other thing na audio |

Blazetrailer:There are very good standard private hospitals in Nigeria. The picture of government hospitals you have in your mind is not the true representation of all hospitals in Nigeria. If you enter some private hospitals in Nigeria, you will think you are abroad. |

realguyremzy:Yes..she is serious. The reasons are... 1. IVF is cheaper in Nigeria 2. Multiple embryo transfers that can result in having twins, triplets, etc can be done in Nigeria 3. Some facilities in Nigeria accept to do sex selection. Unlike overseas where (2) and (3) are illegal. 4. If she is advanced in age,say 40+,some IVF centres will still try using her eggs for the procedure but overseas, many do not. They insist on donor eggs. |

Lol...No wonder your president and all politicians run abroad for mere headache and body pains. The nedical care in Nigeria must be so good indeed! You think medical care is about fine buildings only. I have tasted both sides(some of the best in Nigeria). I will NEVER, I repeat,NEVER entrust my life in the hands of any Nigerian medical care system, no matter how highly rated. I would rather remain there tha go tidk my life again. There are challenges in all medical care system but that of Nigeria is out of thos world Funny enough, Nigerian health care providers are part of the reasons their system abroad is far better than what you have at home Amayabor1: |

Amayabor1:He is absolutely right. Back in 2022... Dr Ajayi, who is the Managing Director of Nordica Fertility Centre, a foremost fertility treatment centre in Abuja, however, blamed insecurity for the inability of foreign nationals to embrace Nigeria for the fertility treatment.Source: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/06/nigerians-abroad-with-fertility-issues-coming-home-for-ivf/

Blazetrailer:Your cup of tea. Apart from the president, there are many Nigerians still receiving quality health care in Nigeria. You have tasted both sides and I have worked in the Healthcare both in Nigeria and abroad. Some Healthcare centres in Nigeria are of world standard and their workforce know their onions. If you like, shout from now till tomorrow, it doesn't change the fact that there are still some quality Healthcare centers in Nigeria. And how many Healthcare centers have you been to in Nigeria for Medicare? Person wey go to hospital within his own state out of the 36 states in Nigeria dey rant. And it's even possible he went to afederal teaching hospital. Oga go sit down. |

Naah! E never reach to quarrel naa. You have worked in both, right? when you have emergency and you have both options, please ensure you insist on the Nigeria option. Regarding my stay in Nigeria, it is myopia doused with a plethora of insecurity to begin to make assumptions about peope on a faceless outlet like Nairaland. However, to help you varicate more on that courtesy of my career and establishment, I was under the best of the best that could possibly be available on Nigeria. I was on the same level of care with your former Vice President. . Amayabor1: |

Amayabor1:lol agreed, it won't change the fact that most of our hospitals aren't good. There was this nice hospital (structure) close to my previous place, but no doctors, just 1 consultant others were students. |

iwaeda:If this is true and with the current state of our hospitals, then they expand the mortuary section because there would be more bodies than be fore. |

realguyremzy:People come from the US, Canada and the UK for IVF in Nigeria all the time. I know a Nigerian doctor that relocated to Nigeria from Canada and set up a IVF hospital in Nigeria. |
