If Muslims in Igbo land want sharia law and courts, by all means they will have it.
I won't encourage hypocrisy as has been observed by Lukumi Muslims.

What has shari'a benefitted those that have it? It is simply the rich oppresing the poor.

Go to Igbo land and verify if an average Igbo man is submissive to any other man as his superior when he is richer.

Both Hausa and Yorùbá do have respect for rulers no matter how richer they are than the ruler as long as such titles are part of their culture but Igbos aren't like that that's why they found it really hard to fit in to politics as each of them is fighting for his own right.

You don't know what it means to submit because that's the reason why Europeans handed over the politics of Nigeria to Hausa and Yorùbá who have deep respect for superior authority chosen among them while Igbos don't.

Europeans didn't handed over to Yoruba, it was handed over to hausa because of their majority. Democracy is all about Majority and not minority!

You surely have a point but do you also know that the whitemen wanted to keep their position as lords over those ruling you?
How can they do that if it's not in your culture to respect superior authority?
Hausas and Yorùbás already established their system of rule through traditional rulers and they treat their rulers with deep respect but such is not the same with the Igbos an average Igbo man only respect someone with weapons there is no authority among them that calls for respect other than someone who can kill and destroy.
When the British wanted to leave they discovered that the Hausas and Fulanis have high regard for their traditional rulers so even though Tafawa Balewa is the Prime Minister of Nigeria he still have deep respect for northern emirs but Awolowo has no such regards for the Yorùbá traditional rulers in fact he will not prostrate (as the Yorùbá culture demands) before any traditional ruler including the then Ọọ̀ni of Ilé-ifẹ̀ HRH Adébísí Adérẹ̀mí, reduced the salary of the Ṣọ̀ún of Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́ to 1kobo and his boy Bọ̀dé Thomas disrespected the Aláàfin of Ọ̀yọ́ though he paid for that.
So the British noticed all of this that's why they favoured the northerners who had high regards for their own kings.

As for the Igbo man he can only respect you if you have money more than him or weapons to destroy him otherwise you have nothing that could make him bow to what you say no matter the tradition.

When they first came to the eastern part of Nigeria, they deceived them with mirrors, toys, etc but Yorubas are wiser in one way or the other than Hausa and Ibos. because of the majority and population of Hausas, they hand over the country to them as I said the other time
