BREAKING: Three Benue Communities Under Attack By Suspected Herdsmen

According to a source in the area, the gunmen in different teams invaded the communities on Wednesday evening, shooting sporadically as residents fled into the forest for safety.

Three communities in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State are currently under attack by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.

The villages are Okpomaju, Odudaje, and Asa 2.


According to a source in the area, the gunmen in different teams invaded the communities on Wednesday evening, shooting sporadically as residents fled into the forest for safety.

“Currently, three villages in Otukpo including mine are under attack by Fulani herders. They launched multiple attacks yesterday (Tuesday) and came back this evening. While most people have fled, some of us are still here to repel these attacks on our communities.


“Let the world be aware I died fighting for my community if you don’t get any update from me again; they are shooting at us now,” the resident told SaharaReporters.


Attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Benue have led to the killing of thousands of people and displacement of many more.

When contacted, SP Anene Sewuese, the spokesperson for the state police command, told SaharaReporters tha the was not aware of the attack.



He, however, promised to make calls to find out.

You hit the nail in the head. Gradually, you will start seeing news about fulani herdsmen coming back into the tabloids and mainstream media. Where were these fulani herdsmen before now? Someone is scared of Atiku. Nigerians can't be fooled again. We now know their modus operandi.

They have started again later they will blame Esn,they are definity the ones who attacked ebonyi recently, catching this people is not hard it seems the border between Ebonyi and Benue is heavily forested those forest should be combed with armed drones to shoot criminal on sight.
