Is it smart for both movies to come out same month as jurassic world which has a history of grossing over a billion?

youtube premium does not work with any of my cards
spotify works with my zenith.
and it was abduleez1's post that made me remember i have a spotify subscription i am not using. i am on a family plan .it is mostly my kids who use spotify

for the past two years, most dollar denominated online purchases have been hit and miss
some are even a case of works today, not working tomorrow

i like video games
the following are platforms that you can buy vieo games licenses from

steam - the best but no regional pricing. used to be able to buy from there until sometime last year
epic games - not as goos as stem, but they had regional pricing - and i used to be able to buy from there
microsoft store - hit and miss and games you but from there are configured differently - however, they have regional pricing and IN NAIRA

summary even though games bought from ms store can be wonky, i usually buy games from them - because they are available and tehy are cheaper - though they also come with their own k-leg.
You cannot be more right sir🔥🔥. This is not just about Spotify - the amount of subscriptions you have to use esp if you're a gamer, a designer and work with computers. Just a year ago, I was paying for
Adobe Creative Suites
Spotify
Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus. Spending like approximately $100 a month and I was not even getting what I need and I was not even using them much. I later discovered that ACS restrictions were worse than the cracked version because of the many restrictions it came with, you had to keep signing up and using the internet to keep access to tools you'd never use - the same with the movie streaming services - I watch only like 5 movies in a month for each when I can just download clearer 1080p and even 4k versions of every movie and show that comes out of the streaming i.e. I'm paying for lesser quality 😭.

Also I play a lot of video games too and I can tell you- paying for a video game esp when it's on PC and not on PS5 or XBox is absolute burning of money 😩- you're not even buying the game but a licence to the game. If the game doesn't have enough players, they could end your pass 🤦🏾‍♂️.

And you're getting an even worse version of the game sometimes, for example Red Dead Redemption 2 I once bought after playing the pirated version because I loved the game and wanted to support the company. I realised the game was running on 40-53fps and laggy when cracked versions were giving 60-100fps reason because of the insane restrictions in the game code to stop piracy thereby slowing down the game 🤦🏾‍♂️. Why pay for worse

Why do some people act like those services are even expensive? I use Apple music and it's just 1,500naira or thereabouts monthly. I'm sure Spotify will be around the same price range.
Such amount shouldn't make you leave quality content. Besides, don't y'all hate those ads in the unpaid versions? My hatred for ads is why I can never use those free versions.
Lol, if you've gone through the thread you'll see where I said the only reason I used modded Spotify was because I couldn't pay for the subscription because it stopped working with my bank cards some years ago.
Later found out CBN's restrictions under incompetent Emefiele was the reason to curb naira/Forex volatility.

Just like you I hate ads especially in my music, reason why I can't use free versions. I've never even used free version of Spotify.
A problem modded Spotify solved back when we couldn't pay with our cards.

It was just late last year I realised one could start using their cards to pay for Spotify subs once again.
I was even debited TWICE last week while paying for the premium subscription, to show you how iffy the thing works. Although, I was later refunded the double payment few hours later.

Spotify wasn't even available for Nigeria until like 3 years ago or so.

honestly 90% of the time, it is those that pay for software that get shafted

and they are all getting out of control with enshittification where even premium users still get hit with ads

or adobe charges you to end your subscription.

the only downside of piracy where software is concerned is you provide your own support and you may have to wait for crack updates to be released when the game gets a major update

obligatory meme

Yeah. I believe both will do well.
I'm not scared at all about anyone failing at the box office. It's just that they'd both cannibalise money off each other, seeing as they're both the same genre and somehow have similar style.

Ultimately, I think SUPERMAN would fare better.
Just that F4 gives Marvel lovers alternatives during that time.
And the fact that there's also Jurassic World in that timeframe is why I don't like their proximity.

Anyways, let the best man win.
It's an interesting month to gauge audience interest and patterns.

I feel people be over estimating this Jurassic World movie too much.

It's a behemoth but I doubt this is making a billion this time around.
If people still lap it up like the rebooted franchise, I see this around a $750mn range max.

The show must go on....

3 days back to back $100mn single days. 🤯😳
6 movies, $1bn in 6 days.

The Chinese market is back! Bigger and better.

Exactly 😭 no significant downside to pirating. Plus the amount of data and personal information this companies get and sell to others also😩 Is insane.
It's when I even got to this country I knew piracy was actually a crime - I didn't even know downloading films were bad and windows was not free 😂. The popularity of movies and games will not be anything if not for piracy in my opinion so they should give us our flowers

F4 will probably do better esp if Superman is not fun to watch for kids and comic fans

Lol, I highly doubt that. Especially with that WB's Krypto the Superdog 'Puppy Bowl' marketing.

F4 ultimately looks like a $650mn+ pic, best case scenario for me. While SUPERMAN definitely exceeds that financial range.

I expect Marvel to insert Robert Downey Jnr. Dr Doom cameo in this movie.

They simply can't resist the urge to employ the never-failing nostalgia bait.

I believe that the success of the 'Fantastic Four' movie is likely to be driven more by positive word-of-mouth than by advertising, although marketing will also be significant. The trailer indicates a promising story ahead. I anticipate that both this movie and the 'Thunderbolts' film will contribute significantly to the financial success of MCU productions this year. Unfortunately Captain America 4 will tank at the box office. Anthony Mackie is a proper clown.

It's expected for him to make an appearance, considering that Dr. Doom's storyline is closely intertwined with the Fantastic Four. This is not merely about capitalizing on nostalgia; they have already achieved that by casting Robert Downey Jr as Dr. Doom. What is even funny to me right now is how fans who initially criticized the idea will now eagerly flock to cinemas to see Downey Jr in the role of Dr. Doom.
