adenigga:Time wasters, it is no rocket science what to do, but they will never do it if won't make them richer and others poorer. Mark the word highlighted, they will not let it happen if it will make them richer and every other person richer as well, no. It has to be them.richer and others poorer so others will remain in perpetual slavery to them. |

The Senate, through its Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organisations, on Wednesday declared that the mass migration, otherwise known as ‘Japa’, by Nigerians to overseas countries on a daily basis must be reversed. The committee, now chaired by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, made the declaration at its maiden meeting held in Hearing Room 305 of the Senate wing of the National Assembly. |

The move is dead on arrival. You are using India to cite an example . India, a country that a significant proportion of its citizens live abroad. In some countries in the Middle East for example, Indians outnumber the local population. In others, they have the highest number of expatriates in the expat demographic. In Canada and Australia, they are superfluous. Migration is a fact of life. Geographical mobility of labour is a component of economics. It's not a negative thing. It's a pointer to the upwardly mobile nature and the pursuit of excellence by a people. A lot of Nigerians would have finished themselves with 'Sniper ' if there wasn't an option of seeking existential solutions across the Mediterranean, Arabian and the Pacific. The so called "progressives" have irreparably and irredeemably damaged Nigeria with their voodoo economics and dark politics. |

If action speaks, Nigerians will stay. There's no place like home. If jobs are not created; Security is not assured; Tribalism is not curbed; Police brutality persists; Corruption and graft continues Our Educational lapses are not addressed Our Criminal Justice System is not revamped Votes keep not counting etc etc The Youth will continue to Japa Address all the above and more, confidence will be restored and Nigerians will stay. |

How does these parliaments think? You're in a country where a drug baron is a president, the senate president values his dog more than the citizens. the president is trying to force his family on a state. All the people in government are criminal and thieves. The people in power hate the youths. The youths are rendered powerless and voiceless. And you're trying to stop the youths from accessing a better life somewhere?. If I were a God........ |

As long as Igbos are being marginalised in Nigeria. They must continue to leave this country. |

Back these empty words with action...! The damage being done or already done by the massive brain drain in the last few years will take decades to remedy. Especially in the health sector. The only way to reverse Japa syndrome is to eliminate corruption, cut government wastage, improve security and increase employment via industrialization. |

Which Indians are the referring to? The same Indians who pay much more than Nigerians and take more risks to run away to USA, Canada, UK and even our Nigeria? Go to our factories, especially the plastic factories and find some even hiding. They fill newspaper stands everyday looking for job opportunities all over Africa and run away as quickly as they can from their country. Anyway they can start by first returning the children and family members who reside abroad. They should start by fixing our education and health infrastructure. They should fix security and agriculture and see if people would be willing to japa. |

Wicked and useless politicians. All their children are citizens of America and UK. Even their president Tinubu japa yesterday to France. They want to continue to enslave the masses using hunger as a weapon. |

It a good idea,if they are ready and really wants it to Work! SOLUTIONS To JAPA- Syndrome! When I alerted Nigerian Govt on this JAPA- SYNDROMES, about 2 and half year ago,it seems we are joking. But let me Summarise the whole thing: • this are young Nigerians- who does not see Future in Nigeria and are ready to move on with their lives no matter the huddles! Why are they desperate: 1.No Lights 🚨- 24hours- non- stoppable - regular! - Can DISCOS - who gives more Darkness - do the right thing now, since 1960- Many Nigerians have left because of No light - for serious developments. 2.No Employment Opportunities - in Nigeria, this is a cracking - Employment is by who you know - Connection, not by Skills you learn but by which States you comes, which National Assembly Members or Local govt Chairman - before yo get employed. So,how many People do the govt employ in a year in Nigeria? Where are the Statistics of Employment? 3.Abroad,you don't need to state your State you Comes from before you get a job - but Your Competence,Your Skills, your Qualifications. - Can you do this job well? - Can you do it better than the person that was there before? 4.Where are your Infrastructures Facilities - Good Roads,Rail, Housing, Health Care Delivery 🚚 Services. For it's very Expensive to be Sick in Nigeria. Any InterCity Railway 🚂 to reduce Stress 😬! 5 .where is our Industrial Development Plans- For the Youths and For the Future. 6.Security: How is Nigeria Security Paramount to our lives and Properties? People should go to anywhere - without Fear of Kidnapping, Terrorism, Criminals,- even Across the Borders. 7.Corruption - we must kill Corruption - as is done in China,North Korea, Malaysia,Dubai and UK, Europe 🌍 and Other Nations! |

adenigga:I don't think members of the committee know much about India that they are using as an example of a country retaining her citizens and discouraging them from migrating overseas. Statistics in most countries of the world show that India has the highest number of immigrants. Even for their IT experts, their government is in an agreement with developed countries like UK and some others to export their IT talents to such countries. In UK, there is a special visa channel for Indian IT experts. |
