Hello. Good evening My husband is currently in the UK but was on PSW visa which expired few days ago. He has got an NHS COS and has applied for a visa switch before his PSW visa expired. He is yet to get a decision on his visa and we do not know how long it will take. I am in Nigeria and currently applying for dependent visa. I have a couple of questions. 1. When he applied for his, he used my maiden name as that was the valid passport I had at the time. However I now have a new passport with my marital name, hope this won’t affect my application as his dependent. 2. Since his visa is yet to be decided on, can mine be decided on or will the UKVI wait on a decision for his own first before working on mine. I have VFS appointment this week. 3. How long does dependent visa from Nigeria take to be approved 4. He has maintenance ticked on his COS, what documents should I add in addition to PCC, TB test, his COS and passport, marriage certificates (church and court), affidavit for change of name and newspaper publication, my passports (old and new), our pictures and WhatsApp chats, my job employment letter as proof of why we live haven’t lived together for 2years. Thank you |

Vivianchi98:Our case is quite similar with some differences. Most times, if you get a COS from NHS, your visa decision tends quicker. In our case, it took 8 working hours to be approved after submitting application (same day with no priority services). Applying while his application hasn't been decided will certainly delay your decision as it is dependent on it just as the visa name. The best thing to do is allow for his visa to be approved. Postpone your appointment, that's very possible. And concerning the change in name, it shouldn't be a problem. |

Good day house. I need some clarification. At the stage of uploading document to VSF portal following the CHECKLIST how do you upload the document to match the checklist? or do you upload everything and leave it for them to sort out? About VSF application fee. Is NGN 155,343.00 the standard amount without needing special assistance? |

| Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by advanceDNA: 5:21pm On Feb 11, 2025 |
eyinloju1:U will likely be asked about the role you are being hired for.... U must be able to say what your job is about, confidently a d without sounding generic...... U may likely be asked how u got the job.....U must share past experience with an NGO or charity organization in Nigeria and what you did....e.g fund raiser, grant writer, programme manager, M&E, which should be related to ur current role....years of experience......and then say that's how you were recruited for this current job either via referral or online application... This type of interview could go wrong very quickly becos their aim is to look for what you said or ddnt say to disqualify you....they mostly disqualify pple for sounding generic even when you say the right thing.... |
