The Family Of 29-Year-Old Nkiru Osakweogo is in distress following her disappearance after attending a job interview in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

Osakweogo, a resident of 58 Kirikiri Road, Olodi Apapa, Lagos, left home on January 25, 2025, for a work interview and has not returned since.

Speaking with The Guardian, her sister, Obianuju Osakweogo, revealed that Nkiru’s phone has been switched off, and she has not been online. She emphasised that her sister has never been out of contact for this long.

“My sister is a private person. She only informed our other sister about the job interview but didn’t disclose the location. Later, she sent a message saying she got the job, that the company provides staff accommodation, and that she would be staying there. She added that the network in the area is poor. Since then, we’ve not heard from her or received any calls,” she explained.

“We reported the matter to the police, but they said they couldn’t do much as she didn’t provide an address,” Obianuju added.

The family has requested anyone with useful information to contact them on 07038406112 or 07062396321.

Efforts by The Guardian to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, were unsuccessful, as he neither responded to WhatsApp messages nor answered calls.

I'm sorry to tell you that...... this girl is now a victim. I hear stories about people pretending to offer you jobs, when you come you are doomed because from that day they own you, she's a lady possibly for rituals or sex/human trafficking.
Guy, na only prayers go break the spell they casted on her because without location and number being active, she can't be tracked......things are really happening in this small country.

When it comes to searching for a job - one must be very careful. Some adverts re out there to just to lure innocent people into death trap. U studied for almost 20 years just to end up searching for a salary job. Something is wrong with this out system

Fear girls of nowadays

They will NEVER have sense..how do you go for a job interview without informing your family with the address?plus them tell you say where them go give you accommodation network no to dey there and probably said they will take you there and yet it didn't occur to you to send details to your family even after hearing that girls story that that useless boy killed after giving her a fake job,smh..so many red flags and she ignored them all.Too bad

yea they chatted the sister to give them more time to do the deal.

Than the sister worrying to early for her disappearance. The phone was switched off when they re done. When police cant trace them anymore
