| Why The High Rate Of Bleaching on Both Men And Women In Nigeria by Bendeco02(op): 10:52am On Feb 07, 2025 |
I Am yet to understand why there is high rise of skin bleaching between men and women in Nigeria. Is it that they feel that they will look beautiful or handsome if they are fairer or what? I always hear Nigerians say black is beautiful, but we stilll don't appreciate it on real life. ![]() To see black slay queen now is scarce. The worse is men that supposed to concentrate on their hustle now concentrates more on their skin color.

Am fair but not too fair. But my dark brother looks more handsome than me. Color don't translate to beauty or handsome. I don't know why some men, especially southerners have that mindset that being fair means looking good ![]() If you browse about most handsome men in Nigeria, you will see fair guys being ranked more. |

There's beauty in the kingdom of darkness, even though sometimes you might need to switch on the light or your phone torch in order to see them clearly. Bendeco02:

Some do, but it's not that common... A good number of us are already naturally light and brown because of our khoisan admixture. It's mostly Vendas and Tsongas who have predominantly dark skinned people. Bendeco02: |

I don't see high rate of bleaching anywhere around me. I only see one or two here and there. Maybe they are more prominent on social media and other places where their business thrives. On the adverse effects, they will find what they are looking for as they get older and older. |
