Where did the OP mention "election" throughout this post.
All you people 's life depends on election yet you keep rigging rogues into offices and start blaming those you rigged their votes of begging to survive.
Disgruntled Thing please hold your peace.

A large crowd of Lagosians was filmed in a long queue struggling to collect a loaf of bread. To maintain order, several military personnel were on the ground to control the crowd. This has triggered a lot of reactions online.

First case is still understandable. He might have had plans to meet someone for a business deal that did NOT pan out.

He had a VIABLE excuse for getting stranded.

But the second guy is plain MADNESS!
People like that should NEVER be given handouts.

A poor man found himself an EQUALLY poor woman and they bleeped raw until they made a baby whom they can give NOTHING but more poverty.

That's NOT just poverty.
That is STUPIDITY!
And WICKEDNESS too.

Having a child when you know you CANNOT take of a child is EVIL!

Both of them WILLINGLY signed up to get hitched to their POOR selves. But that child DIDN'T.

Condom is JUST #300. Get it and don't make your IRRESPONSIBILITY the problem of other people.

"I don't like condom" is NOT for people who are suffering from perennial poverty.

It's one thing to be a well-to-do couple who had their child/children BEFORE they fell on hard times.

It's ANOTHER thing for a pauper who moved from his family house to a face-me-i-face-you apartment and still DEFAULTS on rent to IMPREGNATE a fellow pauper.

That's MADNESS!

I HATE people like that.
They deserve ZERO sympathy or assistance.
While you are right the root cause is the culture. Nigerians bully and cajole others into having children even when those people are ill equipped to take care of anyone. It's not always poverty that renders one unfit to raise a child, some people are so mentally scarred by their own upbringing that they should not reproduce.

Nothing new. The worst is when they turn you to their ATM simply because you showed sympathy. It's mostly manipulation. A lot of people see begging as 'an' easy way. Nothing new in the trend.

Begging is a full time job for a lot of people if you only know and the irony is how the laugh behind your back afterwards because they make so much money everyday begging. I know a begger who owns properties worth millions. There are lots of such people on Nairaland too, who are making money from begging. People make transfer to them every now and then. The genuine people who sincerely need help are very few.

More so, is when they turn you to their ATM and the moment you don't give, they start showing ingratitude either by misbehaving some will even insult you in your face.
calm down bro,the country is collapsed people live on empty stomach if u can help do,but you talk like a mean person that dosent help people, its written all over ur statement
Re: Whenever I Read Stuffs Like This, I Weep For Nigeria.(screenshot) by drstranged: 4:51pm On Feb 07, 2025
I think it's the choices people made that put them in such position. For instance, during the next election cycle you'd still see these same set of people voting in politicians that'd further impoverish them just for an election bribe of 1k

People are hungry and dying but cannot hold their government accountable.

Before you come and tell me it's my responsibility to find a job, those who have jobs are also suffering.

The government continues to impoverish the people with bad policies that are only favorable to themselves.

Una never dey hungry yet.

I want Tinubu to punish you all to the point where you set aside your tribal and religious differences and unite against the bad leaders that are leading you and your children and their children into starvation and penury.
I beg leave Nigerians alone, we enjoy suffering and smiling very well in Nigeria

I'm really mindful of the places I go these days because when people see that you dress well smelling nice, they conclude you have money and they start billing you. If and when I have money, and someone needs help, my conscience can never allow me leave without helping such a person. If I am unable to help, I feel really bad and sad within me. But when I don't have, nobody helps me. Life!

I try as much as I can to stay healthy and out of police trouble cos if I fall sick or fall into trouble, I have nobody to assist me... Them say cow wey nor get tail, na God dey drive flies from it's anus o. I don't look for people's trouble at all. Slap me, I leave u to God.

I specifically told my wife that no pregnancy this year until next year when it appears that things are better despite the fact that her elders sister are praying for triplets and twins for us, and even our pastor said he is waiting for our baby this year. But we had our own personal plan, and with her cooperation, I believe that we will not put ourself in a corner where things will be difficult for us. The thing is that some people still put their hands in fire without having any plan afterwards. They don't think about the effect and consequences of their action now, but place it on faith. Faith is usually the best, and faith without work is nothing. Real faith is the work and prayer behind the faith. But some people have faith without any work and prayer. A house without a foundation will normally collapse. Don't follow people, follow God and yourself.

So you think it's easy to beg, who you don't know, on the street, a mature man?

Sometimes, some of you type without thinking, while some other think through their anus
Softmirror will always want to counter this cos his mentor is in power. You don't expect him to support the post, even though inside of him, he's crying. I see people ask me to buy food for them on a regular basis. They'd tell me they don't need the money, but the food..right in my presence, they'd devour the food and walk away. It has never been this worse.

When people approach you for money, that's when you can say begging isn't a new thing. What of a patient coming out of lasuth asking you to please get her a list of drugs cos she doesn't even have money to go back home talk more of being able to afford the drugs? Or an able-bodied man showing you 100 naira as his last card, asking you to please pay a keke rider a fare that will take him home...I see these all the time. I paid one keke man 300 naira recently, from alagbado to command to carry a passenger who begged for fare. I thought he was going to collect the money from him and come down, which some smart people can do. I hid somewhere. The keke zoomed off until it disappeared from my sight

You see eeh, karma is real. When you defend evil, what comes your way won't be funny. Leave them. They think they can play God. Are you aware Nigeria is now the 4th largest economy in africa? That tells you the height of poverty in the land.. sadly, only Nigeria is experiencing this hardship the most in africa. Go to Benin republic and spend 5 days, they'd think you travelled to Europe by the time you return.

Oga, abeg STFU with your warped orientation about life! It's either you're still too young or you're just being plain myopic.

See how you confidently spewed toxic bile about someone you don't know. You have zero knowledge of what forced that guy into such a condition, and yet you could type an epistle of nonsense about him. Do you know if he was financially comfortable at the time he married and had his kids?

Do you know how many people the coronavirus lockdown (as an example) turned into paupers overnight? Do you know how many people become broke suddenly just because they or their loved ones were hit by money-guzzling diseases like cancer, kidney failure, etc?

So, in your cretinous mind, anyone who is poor and has kids should not be helped just because of a stupid blanket conclusion you've drawn about ALL of them?

See, if you want to give, give. If you're not willing to, just move on and stop forming opinions about people and their circumstances. It doesn't make you wiser or smarter. Just pray life doesn't throw some crazy curveballs at you.
Brother mi, if you calm down and logically assess that post, you’ll agree with him.
