Putindbutt:Are you sure you are OK at all? Your VP announced something and you think it is a private hospital to verify the claim? When will you people finally grow a brain? ![]() |

kayperry:Illiterate, 13 in a particular hospital, not the entire medical centers in the country. The numbers would definitely be far more when the total numbers from several medical centers are collated. The way you guys talk silly is amazing, are you living with them or have Aso rock clinic records to know they don't use it?. I pity you guys. |

TimeManager:Organ harvest or! Most likely the organs are easier to harvest in Nigeria, with the increase in kidnappings, I would not be surprised if this increases! In the US they would be put in organ donor registry and they could be there for years waiting for a donor and some might not even get one. But in Nigeria with zero and no regulations with increased poverty these organ may be very cheap to come by. We have heard these stories before where US citizen go to India to harvest organs, maybe India is beginning to put tight regulations and Africa is the next frontier. |

Ojuntana:you don't understand the dynamics here and I will explain it to you. the reason why US citizens come to places like Nigeria for very expensive surgeries like transplant is that: 1. the waiting list to receive an organ in public health facility is very long in their country 2. it is also very expensive even in public faculties 3. believe it or not, doctors are in shortage over there as their kids would rather go to trade schools that is easy and takes about a year to complete. with this trade certs, they get jobs that pays as much as a doctor that spend as much as 7 year of tertiary hard learning . 4. private health facility is mostly out of reach for almost every person except the very wealthy . the reason , Tinubu and other Nigerian big guys go abroad is : 1: security/ trust reasons. it is easier to compromise a Nigerian doctor and get him to botch an operation that will end a person's life. it will be very difficult to prove. 2.it leaves them vulnerable to harm , imagine the doctor that to treat him is secretly an obedient, or member of the opposition group that wants him dead. its better he goes to a doctor/ hospital that is neutral to Nigerian politics and has no reason to harm him(note that Osinbajo and Aregbesola were people he trusted that turned around to betrayed him, so dont be surprised he does not trust any Nigerian doctor) 3. they go to highly vetted doctors in private health facilities and not stand in the queue like an average American would. i hope this makes sense to you. by the way, I would never recommend Tinubu to submit himself to a nigerian doctor. there are many traitors in Aso rock. |

They came here to buy kidneys for cheap should be the right word. All these fulani kidnappers and boko hara terrorists, that's likely the trade they are in. It has been said many times that helicopters drop military grade ammunition for them inside forests and they load several coolers to the helicopters and leave. Those coolers I'm sure can not be full of jollof rice. I think I've seen one of the videos online too.

Even if it's true, we're.those surgeries carried out in any of the federal government's hospitals? I had referred 2 patients from abroad to a hospital in port harcourt, one for IVF while the other was also related to ivf. Its a private hospital shettima so, don't take the credit. Healthcare is cheaper in Nigeria not because of the your administration's failure but because private hospitals made it so |

Kobojunkie:First, grow your little brain. If some dropped a name, that's enough for you to go to the source and verify, stop talking stupid as if you are better informed than him. |

The problem with the west especially UK is the waiting list. Someone in critical condition will be told waiting time is 2 years. Unreliable health system. You can be on waiting list for simple procedure for upward of 1 year. If you have the mean you travel to where you can get it immediately and at cheaper cost. Nigeria and other serious countries can benefit from this. |
| Re: 13 US Patients Undergo Kidney Transplants In Nigeria — Shettima by Kobojunkie: 6:02pm On Feb 07, 2025 |
wellmax:So, in Nigeria, there is no waiting list! There is always a body part available for you with ritualists/kidnappers running rampant in the country, right? Even though reports from the same According to the Ministry of Health in Nigeria, over 10 million Nigerians are waiting for transplants — most of them needing kidneys— they can't have the available kidneys because the foreigners are there and should have them instead. Right? ![]() |

Okay... But, can average Nigerians access and afford these facilities?!! American, British and other nations' health care systems can be accessed by most of their own citizens... It is when they are overwhelmed that some special cases choose to try other nations. Point is... What is there to brag about here?!! Are we saying it is an achievement that foreigners can afford and access health are facilities in Nigeria that are far beyond the reach of actual Nigerians living in Nigeria?!! |
| Re: 13 US Patients Undergo Kidney Transplants In Nigeria — Shettima by Agugbadin: 6:03pm On Feb 07, 2025 |
descarado:That is correct, it is the main reason why they are coming, not because of medical expertise or excellent medical facilities. |

TimeManager:Typical idiots celebrating mediocrity and running from the truth. The reason why foreigners would be thronging Nigeria for kidnwy transplant is because organ donation is not regulated, economy is in so dire place that people are optioning to sell their organs. After Ekumere or whatever that senate head has been prosecuted in the UK of cause others like him looking to capitalise on other people's misfortunes would throng to an unregulated place where such organs can be ontained cheaply and without care to after care and l8fe of the donors. It is the same way these uneducated fools that we've elected were celebrating detty December like they are they ones that provided the grounds for it. Losers always chase clouth |

Don't be deceived the only reason they are here is because they cannot wait on the transplant list so they came to Nigeria were it's easy to pay money and get it |
