See, I recently traveled through 5 states between Lagos and Imo, and I've got to tell you, the journey got easier when we got to Imo state because of good roads and lights.

I don't want to talk about the state of the roads in-between, especially Ogun and Edo states.

This is second term but JS1 students are just registering into Imo State's secondary schools.

I was at Owerri in December 2023 and June and July last year, I was confused. I could not recognize Owerri again. The development is so massive but I believe it must have started from Rochas because what I saw must have taken many years to build.

In those days Owerri was small and quiet. They called Owerri Civil Service town, we normally go to Aba and Portharcourt and traveling to Lagos through ONITSHA we see those crowded big houses. Now, what I saw at Owerri with Hotels, big houses, network of roads, I can say in all the Eastern States, Owerri is number one, I am not talking in commercial activities basis because of Aba and ONITSHA are there but in aesthetic design.

No good roads, except the federal highways redone by gov Uzodimma, no tertiary education institution, no stadium, no fire station. But the name, Orlu, is held in contempt by rest of Imo state for coveting the office of Governor for a long time.

The name, Orlu, is being misused and abused for nothing.
