Let's think constructively. The reality is Soludo needs to improve his project planning, budgeting and management. The Amusement park in awka is over 2 years now. The reconstruction of the 3km Oby Okoli avenue is 2 years. The government house complex is over 3 years. It ahould not be but its because he is using an outdated method popular in Nigeria where you pay as money comes in rather than in bulk.

This is why infrastructure projects in Nigeria take decades. The second Niger Bridge was designed in 2004 or 2005 but no real work took place until 2017. That was because Uche Orji at the NSIA figured out a better funding model by seeking counterpart funding from development agencies and private investors in setting up the presidential infrastructure fund.

ANSG should have sought creative funding options for its projects. For example the Amusement Park really should be a PPP and designed 100% by experts not partly by ParkVega and Anambra govt officials. The government house complex should have been constructed in phases the way Abuja was when ministries were moved from Lagos to Abuja.

Anyways we can only pray that Soludo can complete these projects to a high quality standard.
To be honest I think Soludo has done well when it comes to managing the meager funds available to him......Considering the number of projects he is tackling,,,, he has done well sha! He needs to increase the IGR of the state , I am not sure how Enugu managed to increase their IGR to a claimed 130 billion naira but Anambra needs to increase its revenue!

This government city will be a point of reference when completed. This project is not for the faint hearted and I applaud him because he is also taking on many capital intensive projects

I agree 100%! I feel Soludo's capacity to perform is greatly underrated ! He has taken on some challenging projects no doubt! However, he has neglected some low-hanging fruit projects! .......like completing the aero bridges at the Chinua Achebe Airport.........and completely rehabilitating the Niger headbridge road!

If I was to give Soludo a score card this is what it would be:

Agriculture - C
Budget and Planning - B
Education - B
Health - A
Works - B+
Finance - B
Environment - C
Industry - C
Transport - D
Markets - C
Security - D
Lands - C
Women and Children - B
ICT - B
Lol. This your score card is beautiful oooh. If it were to be WAEC he has entered university be that. Hohohohohoho!

Security is a general issue nationwide but Soludo is trying his best even though there is room for improvement! And it should be a collaborative effort among the south east governors. Anambra government can't be fighting insecurity while IMO state government is sleeping leaving our border towns porous. I still believe it should be a coordinated action by all the government of the south East region. They need to come up with something formidable! ✌️✌️✌️

I watch this video of ongoing dualization of roads in Nnewi and I was very happy with government of prof Charles Soludo, even when the road is still ongoing, the whole place has changed

Nnewi is beginning to like a mega city, if Soludo can extend this dualization to old oba to Nnewi road, then he will be the best governor ever in the history of Anambra state

Clearly, prof Charles Soludo came with a vision to reposition Anambra state as a modern state, I also heard that he will dualize Nkpor -Nnobi road and that of Ekwulobia to isuofia to Awka ekiti then to Nnobi also

If he completes all this, then it’s safe to declare my hometown Nnobi the fifth city in Anambra after Ekwulobia which is already fourth

God bless Anambra state
God bless igboland, gradually we are getting there…

I agree with you , but I still want more investments especially on industrial revolution , everyone cannot be a trader .

What about the update on the 10th storey building in Awka , what about the train infrasture , what about Agulu lake remoderinzation , what about the rebranding of main market Onitsha , ,Guys any update

Soludo is working , I must confess just that opposition is using security challenges on his Government

Soludo has done well...........I will rate him at par with Peter Obi right now! If he can improve transport and aviation infrastructure, schools and security.............and of course continue with new town development...then he will arguably be the best governor so far!

Soludo is really trying. I just came back from Nnewi to Awka yesterday and Nnewi is now turning to mega city. What we need now is a well planned CBD in the Capital City. And Anambra will be competing with Lagos.

I concur with you, Nnewi is getting the attention it needs.
The effect of governance doggedly led by governor soludo is being felt in the city. This is the first of its kind from close to 2 decades past.

Nnobi has merged with Nnewi already as one big Mega city. Most people working in Nnewi live in Nnobi, Awka-etiti, Ichi and Ojoto... Even Ozubulu and ORAIFITE. The population explosion in Nnewi is currently such that the town cannot accommodate most people who do their businesses there. So they choose to live in neighbouring towns which are not far away from Nnewi proper.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by IgboProgress: 10:28pm On Feb 08, 2025
Always remember igbo is One and shouldn't be defined by boundaries drawn by Nigeria. Work together for common good.

What do you have that the other communities within igbo nation do not have, share it with them and let them give you what you need that they have. For example, nnewi needs enough coal to build roads, but does not have it, neither does she have enough money to buy it from abroad. But she has what a community with lots of coal, like Udi, needs, maybe gas. She sends gas to udi for enough coal to build her roads. Governor soludo who is the governor of certain communities in igboland uses the coal to build nnewi roads, and there will be more money left for other things.

Don't say this model won't work because certain law doesn't allow it. Well, if you believe that then you become limited by it. Otherwise nothing will stop you from using you inherited resources to develop your lands, as long as you do not create problems. The law is there to guide us to do right, rather than limit us from doing right.
There are other numerous ways to develop igbo lands quickly. The major obstacles from my observation is limited Minds

The AERO-BRIDGES cannot fit the small aircrafts that land at the airport. The aero-bridges are meant for large intercontinental aircrafts in mind so for long time to come, it may be just a fancy or a waste. Anambra Airport terminal building as I saw it last month does not have any semblance of an airport terminal. Actually, it is LOWER IN QUALITY than the BUS TERMINALS being built across the country today. Anambra people are more than the terminal I saw last month.

For Nnewi to turn around to decent city, that Shopping Mall at Nkwo Nnewi Triangle must be completed, All the shops along the triangle must be relocated or closed down, all the additional structures to buildings along the triangle must be removed and the Nnewi - Ojoto - Oba road must also be dualised.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by 0bjpmb:
You are just an envious bitter frustrated fellow. Anambra international airport terminal is the most modern, not just in Igbo land but entire federation aside Abuja and Lagos. Enugu airport is like a motorpark at Upper Iweka. Imo airport is just a makeshift, they don’t have airport yet, Anambra is the only Igbo state that has the real airport in Igboland. There’s no other state built airport in the east, west or North that comes close to the beauty and elegance and sophistication of Anambra international airport terminal. You can only deceive yourself.

.
Anambra international airport is the only airport in Igboland that has the actual control tower building, longest runway, escalators, carousels, full body scanners . Imo and Enugu motorpark airports barely have something that’s not even remotely looking like a control tower. So it is understandable why you bitter envious people are angry.
