The man is a liar and criminal. That place doesn't look like a cassava farm, looks like an abandoned land.
I had a farmland in Oyo, maize and cassava about 5 hectares, the same thing happened to my farm. I arrested the herdsmen, took them to court, trying to get compensation as the whole farm was wrecked, it didn't pan out well, instead, there were major threats to my life, had to relocate from Oyo, all the investment gone. This is something you pray it doesn't happen to you. I can understand the distress of the farmer.

Na wa o. With the way things are going, if I ever farm that kind of large land, na to create military outpost round am and employ armed 24/7 security personnels to dy guard am.

We go soon turn farms to battle grounds since these fulani bastards no wan get sense. Nigerian farmers arm yourselves. Stop praying and hoping for this to stop. It has been going on for decades. If you can't get guns, look for brilliant carpenters nearby and work together to forge recurve bows and lots of arrows. If they come near your properties, shoot to kill.

The military has been ruthless with terrorist since last year. The fulanis still think it's business as usual. Am based in the north central, security has greatly improved.

Rebuker:
A man has taken to social media to express his frustration after suspected Fulani herdsmen allegedly destroyed his 20-acre cassava farm in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State.

He shared his ordeal, saying:

"I arrived at the farm yesterday only to witness the devastation caused by roaming Fulani herdsmen on our 20-acre cassava plantation. Despite investing heavily in chain-link fencing around the perimeter, these intruders still managed to break in overnight, causing massive destruction. Now, I truly understand why the farmer-herdsmen conflict persists in this country."

He further explained that they had just finished harvesting corn from the farm, leaving only the cassava plants to mature. Unfortunately, the herdsmen allegedly invaded the farm overnight and destroyed everything.

That is why herdsmen should be chased away whenever they're noticed around a community.
They should never be accommodated/allowed to roam freely.
It should be done collectively.

Don't mind the bastard. Some diots here on Nairalands sees nothing good but to come here and be antagonistic to Yoruba and Ibos. What's Ibos got to do with the damaged done to that farm. The same stock of herdsmen have always done that in the Eastern States and still we are yet to get rid of them. Why didn't Ibos blamed Yorubas for those damaged farms in the East caused by Fulani Herdsmen. Some idiots vagabond will always show that their fathers and ancestors are rapists.......

How is millions invested in farming with no fence or barricade or security of any form?

I think this is a wake up call for Nigerians to start thinking out of the box and deal decisivly with hearders.

If they are welcomed, say yes and show them where to thread, if they are not welcomed, have the guts to say no and send them away!

The sky will not fall!

I now believe that things are upside down in that country. How can someone be using his business to ruin other peoples business.
No serious government in that country.Cows are given priority over human beings.Cows are more important. They can solve insecurity problems, they cannot control the herdsmen, they cannot feed the masses. They dont give compensations to farm owners .
I strongly believe that there are some political reasons behind this, serious attempts to introduce hunger and starvation in Yoruba land. When you fence your farm and they still go there to destroy then it means there are great problems.
All Yorubas in the diaspora its time to support the local farmers.

When will the southern Nigeria wake up and realise that it is at war? These are not random acts of sabotage, it is not about feeding cattle. This is clear economic warfare! They are breaking and destabilising food supply chains through systemic and coordinated attacks. Insecurity is also a tool they are exploiting so much so that people are afraid of being harmed in their farms. How does one break your fence to access your farms and destroy your crops and you still call him a herdsman? Start to hold you legislature and senators and governors accountable. Wake up southerners... it seems you are in deep slumber.

I am waiting for these COWARDLY idiots who are only outspoken when IPOB or Igbos are mentioned to rise and speak out now that one of their kinsmen has fallen victim to their terrorist Fulani masters. When the rain falls, it would spare no one. While these fools are busy chasing shadows and imaginary enemies, their ancestral lands are being taken over from underneath them. I hope that they keep focusing and fighting against IPOB while their true enemies continue to deal decisively with them. Crazy MOFOS everywhere!

Our politicians aren't just ready..... It's so annoying.... Even if you take a corpse that was hacked by this herdsmen to council they Will still say it's not enough prove likewise the police.... I really don't get... There is anti grazing law why isn't it effective? Just arrest the Fulani Head in that location he will produce the culprit... The culprit Will produce the owner of the cows.... Bt no we keep doing cosmetic repairs... Going around in circles.

This is the main reason the north is afraid of an Igbo president. An Igbo man will not pretend with power.

How can you have a yoruba acclaimed president and this sort of nonsense happening during Buhari, their brother's tenure will still be happening against his own people........ what's difficult about demystifying the concept of the Fulani herdsmen agenda with farmers.......an Igbo will call off the bluff, no pretence about it and they know it
