Racoon:
What point is the mummified zombies up there trying to explain. Who really wish to leave his/her country of nativity if not for the mess the current failed leadership have made of it? God punish you and the useless senate trying to stop Nigerians from seeking a better life abroad.
Who's stopping you?, what's wrong with this one? grin grin

If you want a less stressful life in Canada, get out of cities such as Toronto, Ottawa etc.
Go to Halifax Nova Scottia, Montreal Quebec, Moncton Quebec, Vancouver British Columbia or go to the provinces of Alberta Stay clear from Ontario, people have no heart out there.
Montreal is bilingual, just stay in the west side of the city ( west of Saint Laurent Blvd): Cote -des-Neiges, Westmount or in the vicinity of Atwater metro.
Cote-des-neiges is full of Africans, Jamaicans, Haitians, Eastern Europeans, Jews, Arabs etc.

rubbish. When you come into a country you should have a goal and plan to make you achieve that goal. Is it papers, is it citizenship, is it buying a house, is it marriage, is it investment, whatever have a goal. Many of us no goal, no plan haba

A regimented structured working system is better than a system led by nepotism and avarice... How much do school teachers get paid?...how about policemen? How about politicians?, Can there be any cautionary tale to deter one from leaving Nigeria for Canada? Stay back and roast till burnt crisp black.. japa and just maybe... Thank u .. I choose hope.

Canada ought to be the 51st state of America.

I don't know why they didn't celebrate the opportunity Donald Trump gave them to join USA as the 51st state of America, it would have turned Canada to the best state in United States after New York and California undecided

Those discouraging others from travelling, won't tell you that their daddies, mummies, uncles, aunties, etc are in corridors of power.
They enjoy proceeds from various contracts and pretend as if they are really working.
When you ask them for help, they won't show you the way rather they will prefer to flex you in parties.

Experience they say is the best teacher.. most of them sold off everything they had at home to japa, now their expectations have been dashed.
Some ignorant ones seeing this are on the verge of making same mistake as they never learn from other people's experience.

No place like home.. if push comes to shove, your loved ones will still turn up for you and support you with love, kindness and financial assistance.. Abroad nobody send you, they mostly live secluded life, mind your business, I mind mine.. reason you can die inside your apartment and nobody will notice till weeks or even months later from the foul odour of decaying corpse.
Olorun a je ki gbogbo yin gbon.

Very shameless people in power undecided

They have activated their media crew to try and make japa look less tasteful to Nigerians but their plan can never work.

We will rather go to Canada and look depressed than to remain in Nigeria and be borderline suicidal because of the uselessness of their APC cronies
Seek mental help fast.

Nigeria is a country that favors frequent human interaction. Canada is a country that doesn't.

Here in Nigeria, as an introvert, it can be pretty tortous to have people greeting you all the time..meanwhile when I went overseas for my postgraduate degree, it was a relief to live with solitude.

But even then while overseas, I didn't keep myself insolated. I went to class, went for the occasional party and went to church . Every Sunday.

At the end, this can be overcome. If you are in Canada as a Nigerian, find a good church or mosque and also find time to interact. And thankfully the internet and telephony has improved to the point that we can do video calls all the time.

Anything to paint Japa as bad is fair game...!

As if we don't have 5 times more of such in Nigeria here.

Whether home or abroad, anywhere you aren't getting on well in terms of finance and relationships, depression is more than likely.

This has nothing to do with relocating abroad or remaining in Nigeria.

That said... Never relocate from Nigeria out of peer pressure or under the mistaken belief that you will make more money out there.

If you have a good life or good thing going on here in Nigeria, respect yourself and just stay back... Put those millions of Naira into better use.

They should go back to Nigeria and stop complaining.

Even though this is a fake news and propaganda by Evil agbadorians.

People in developed nations sleeping on the streets are ten times better than most Nigerians who have diaplated roofs over their heads.

Nigeria is better than Canada presently there are more opportunities here. Canada will soon become the 51st state of US.

-Kiss the truth!
Rubbish, Canada is terrible right now but still far better than Nigeria.
But as a Nigerian/African, Canada shouldn't currently be on the list of countries you plan to travel to, except you obtain a PR before travelling.

Hmmm, it depends. If you sleep outside in negative degrees, you might not wake up the next day.
