I know a few of their members and each time I ask them how the church is faring with the woman in charge, they keep giving the impression that signs and wonders are still happening. But each time I drive past there, the parking lot is always getting scantier and scantier. Doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

The church leadership is not supposed to be a family inheritance. A true bible believing church will only chose it's leaders by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If that is the case, then it's very possible to have the new general overseers emerging from not just among the ministers, but even from the music, ushering and probably the decorations departments. Afterall God does not chose the qualified, He qualifies the chosen. Hardly will you ever see the Pastors wife take over from him if truly the Holy Spirit is involved.

Nowhere: churches built on miracles don't last, the ones on doctrines do.
