I often fall for the trope that K-dramas are all about cheesy rom-coms, but shows like this keep reminding me that they can do serious drama and excel at it!

A prime minister hatches a crazy plan to assassinate the president to end corruption, only to face opposition from his deputy, whose entire existence thrives on the allure of power. What follows is a deadly, high-stakes game of cat and mouse for control of South Korea.

I picked this up casually but quickly devoured all eight episodes in a flash. The pacing was ridiculously fast, packed with political intrigue at every turn. However, one issue I often have with K-dramas is their tendency to lean too heavily into melodrama, and that happened here toward the show’s twilight, blurring the line of realism.

Still, despite that minor slip, I thoroughly enjoyed my watch. A much more solid political drama than what the West has been serving up lately.

Core political movie
Expect zero romance and fantasy

Interesting at the beginning but along the line it lost everything as it became very unrealistic ..

The president was killed in his hospital ward there was no camera or secret service personnel just the words of the deputy prime minister who visited him last ..

This series made me wonder if Koreans really value their lives ?

I couldn’t count how many people that committed suicide for no reasons !
Imagine poisoning yourself twice intentionally just to prove a point in a quest of fighting corruption and committing suicide to implicate a political opponent..
It’s just funny

Poor storyline not excluding that the whole series was centered majorly on two politicians …

when it's time for political drama, corruption or law drama... K-drama is the best and you will definitely find it interesting to watch and it's will be only just one season unlike other industries

People think Korea is all about rom-coms because that's what most people talk and relate to and people hardly talk about politics or other Kdrama genres

can someone tell me why Invincible animation sucks ass! This is like the worst kind of animation I've ever seen! No wind no fire no action back-drawings or effects. I was watching solo leveling and I was comparing😭 at least there are great action sequences and people's hair blow in the wind in the latter- in invincible it's like they just keyframe character's position and call it animation

Seen Solo Leveling twice today, I dey struggle to continue Invincible after one episode.

Solo leveling is just so visually pleasing.

Also why is that Kargalgan dude (the dungeon boss) seeing things as since say na system he be? Abi na AI dey control these dungeons?

It seems the system awoken Kargalgan same as Hunter Sung. But Sung is much more stronger and powerful than him. Be like system don dey whine us, first is the high elf knowing that Sung is different, now, its the high Orc with all his spells was squashed like a bug.

Solo leveling de whine me oo! Can't wait for the next episode to come fast enough. See fight sequence, confidence and corkiness. That necromancer power is the bomb, after killing them, you can still raise them to become your servant.

Season 1 couldn't prepare us more for this season 2.

Btw, out of the 3 episodes of Invincible released so far, episode 2 was the best character and storywise...

It's quite shocking that the show is 3 seasons in and still has no focus...I am getting tired of random supervillains every episode...

Invincible's power is so inconsistent that I am getting fed up also...seeing him losing to random villains just after they hyped up how much stronger he's become...

Apparently he's become so much stronger yet we don't see it in his fights...breaking the classic rule of show, don't tell...

3 seasons in and it feels like most of the show is still 80% filler...
We should be more focused on the central plot by now...

The teenage characters interpersonal and social issues are tiring to watch...
It's like watching a group of teens having the same repeated typical American teenage character arc...

If anything, the rave of the moment just adds too much hype. That's why I prefer watching when the whole series is done and no one is watching. That way, one can have an unbiased view of the whole thing. I didn't even know when it was the rave of the moment. It honestly wasn't popular. Unlike prison break that was everywhere.
I only started learning about breaking bad in recent years because of the viral memes. Also, after finally seeing game of thrones last year and thoroughly enjoying it, I was wondering what the greatest series of all time is because at that point I thought GOT was arguably one of the greatest if not the greatest I have seen. So I googled it and saw breaking bad as the greatest. They put GOT at number 2. But in my opinion, Breaking bad is not even as great as GOT. Breaking bad shouldn't even be in the top 5. Maybe top 10.

EXACTLY!!!! The show is getting worse. Ordinary heroes always beat the shit out of him that his brother has to step up for him- that’s just so stupid and they want us to believe he’s doing it because he doesn’t want to kill people. That's why I like animes like Solo Leveling - insane animations! I haven't actually seen better animations like this ep 6 in anime at all and the story is always easy to follow.
Hollywood don't care anymore about animations except to suck money out of it

Invincible plot is the most basic superhero shit I have to ever seen,no emotional depth for dead characters as technology can easily fix them,same old repetitive villains like the mauler twins,somehow I'm sure they're still alive despite being killed by invincible half alien brother.

I'm just watching it as filler ,but plot wise , invincible is trash.

Instead, system took his son. He'll Las las die in the hands of his son and system kills sun jin woo Las las..
