Please, Does ABA Now Have 24/7 Power As Promised? by Kemetian(op): 8:47am On Feb 10, 2025
I need to know if the 24/7 power heralded a while back in Aba is now the reality.

The geothermal power station commissioned there was promised to produce 24/7 power.

Can you guys living there confirm, please.

So because you have no light you expect igbos to also be in darkness like you? tongue

Travel to Aba. It's called excursion.

This is the problem with so many youths in Nigeria. You want to be an expert on socioeconomic and cultural issues in far away regions from online gossiping without leaving your enclave.

Why should you limit governance to road repairs and not prioritise employment of workers by local and state governments to provide services and facilities MAINTENANCE as well as utilities like pipe borne water to every building?

Are low expectations citizens like you, with misplaced priorities a greater danger for our democracy than the leaders looters temporarily allowed into government huh

It is this sort of agbadorian mentality that crippled Nigeria. I call it the "come and chop" mentality. You become a governor or a president, and the first thing that comes to your mind is to round up all the hooligans in your village and force them into different agencies and parastatals of government, so they will be enrolled into "pensionable jobs"! That is how the civil service is filled with inept hands that are not needed and the recurrent expenditures keep skyrocketing to neptune levels... Go to Abuja and cry for Nigeria. Some offices have more drivers and cleaners than some small countries around..

Those of you who get out of the university and run out of ideas as to how to make money without attaching yourselves to one government office or the other just to carry files around, should understand that you are the fattest parasites in this country. Go and find some capital somewhere, go through some mentoring and start something and stop burdening officialdom with all those your hedonistic penchants. The civil Service is supposed to be very small. All that your talk about "providing services" bla bla bla are puerile. These are smokescreen. . , convenient excuses made to defend corruption and malfeasance.

Why don't you want government to provide services and utilities like water & sanitation, free basic education and basic healthcare for all children and all residents respectively?

What do you expect the local, state and federal governments to do with the revenues raised from the people and on their behalf if they are not providing these services and utilities to enable businesses flourish so we blacks are not the scumbags of human race huh

TheBedWench:
The one-drop rule is a social and legal principle of racial classification that was historically prominent in the United States in the 20th century. It asserted that any person with even one ancestor of black ancestry ("one drop" of black blood)[1][2] is considered black (Negro or colored in historical terms).

This concept became codified into the law of some states in the early 20th century. It was associated with the principle of "invisible blackness" that developed after the long history of racial interaction in the South, which had included the hardening of slavery as a racial caste and later segregation. It is an example of hypodescent, the automatic assignment of children of a mixed union between different socioeconomic or ethnic groups to the group with the lower status, regardless of proportion of ancestry in different groups.[3]

The one-drop rule is defunct in law in the United States and was never codified into federal law.

If you madam are not the dumbest of all dumbos, can you please tell us if Abia state is not in dire need of services and facilities MAINTENANCE as well as utilities like pipe borne water to every building?

What is the volume of pipe borne water daily per Abia state resident?

What is the coverage of pipe borne water in Abia state to all buildings?

How do these numbers compare to what obtains in America and France where Otti has attended courses? Abi he only passed through obodo oyinbo but failed to allow the basic values of governance in those places pass through him, like when you clean a pig but it keeps rolling in potopoto mud and trash huh

Otti is better than Seyi Makinde in all ramifications

Come to Oyo state & see bad roads everywhere

Seyi claimed to have invested billions on agriculture but till today after many years no result because they term it work in progress

Seyi 21billion naira streetlight did not work for 6months before it stopped working

Seyi IPP only power his secretariat & state house of assembly, no power to government hospitals or streetlight yet the project gulped billions of naira

Seyi spent 20billion naira on motor park

Seyi built zero industry since 6yrs he assumed office

Seyi is a pdp governor but failed woefully

Seyi have sold all government lands across Oyo state still jijack people's land situated in juicy areas so that he can resell to highest bidder and pocket the money

Iwo road is the centre of Ibadan, the road has damaged since lady year, despite several notifications sent to Seyi including the use of media, he's yet to repair the road

I know you are for pdp but when we see those from other political parties doing well, let's praise them

It is the job of the federal government to make sure that these services and responsibilities are being dispensed by the appropriate agencies, tiers of government or parastatals respectively. That's why the president is elected. There are an assortment of legal instruments to help him do all these,..

He is the commander in Chief, right? If a state governor is evil and corrupt, there is a federal agency called the EFCC entrusted with the duties to deal with such governor. Let the president use his powers effectively and altruistically. He doesn't have to employ his whole village to do so anyways..

Irrespective of all the arguments as it regards the separation of powers, it still the constitutional responsibility of a president to ensure the smooth and efficient working of the state. He was not elected to be travelling to France. He was elected to work and supervising these are part of his work.

Once you guys join the agbadorian coven, you start to argue like charlatans. Anyone who read you here before all these APC madness, would know that you can do better than this..

Unless you don't know anything about administration, otherwise saying that the countrys Chief executive has no constitutional responsibility to ensure quality delivery of services across board, in his country, just because of the need to respect different levels of government, is just wild..
