It's not even a big deal to want to japaa using either of the two routes, what is important is counting the cost and making adequate preparation for it.

An international student pays over 3 times the fees of a domestic student, which work will you do 24hrs/week that would fetch you enough money to pay school fees? I came here on study route, I made sure I had money to cover two terms before I left Nigeria. Getting here, I started working (20 hrs @ $16/hr). I saved and borrowed to pay the fees for the last two terms, I was lucky to have people to borrow from. Not many are so lucky.

It's even worse with the exchange rate now. Moving money from Nigeria to pay fees abroad is crazy.

agree! Couple with the fact that over 640 million Nigerians have died in the last two months due to insecurity and poverty. A whooping 780 million Nigerians can’t afford to feed and cloth themselves and are suffering on the street of Lagos. Nigeria is hell! Better to become homeless and die of cold and depression in Canada than to be a dangote billionaire in Nigeria. At least your people in Naija will know you’re abroad and that’s enough respect as it is

It’s not true. Don’t mind that guy @bankowner. Education is free in Canada..it’s even more so for international students. They also pay international students $1million dollars per week for upkeep

Yeah. But they can’t do it all these for you if you re still in Nigeria. You need to get their visa first and travel to the airport. So at the airport when u land, they open account f for u right there and deposit ur $1M there for u. Also, if you want to go to school it’s basically free. That’s how a working country works unlike Nigeria where nothing works and u have to pay for everything. I even heard there are food banks in Canada meant for Nigerian immigrant that give them free groceries every month so they don’t have to spend anything at all

You don't even need to apply. Just take your passport to the embassy and your visa will be stamped immediately.

a lot of people came with student visa falsify their bank statements hoping they would work and pay the bills. But there are no jobs like in the past hence many are struggling and depressed.
