Rivers Assembly: Speaker Oko Jumbo still in charge — Opposition Lawmakers by polycarp65(op): 5:54pm On Feb 10, 2025
The Opposition Coalition in the National Assembly has clarified that no Supreme Court judgment was issued against Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, dismissing speculations to the contrary.

The coalition also affirmed that Hon. Oko Jumbo remains the legitimate Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere explained that the Supreme Court ruling was actually in favor of Governor Fubara. The court’s decision followed the governor’s voluntary withdrawal of an appeal related to the 2024 budget, a matter deemed irrelevant as the budget had already been fully executed.

Governor Fubara did not lose any case at the Supreme Court,” Ugochinyere emphasized. “He withdrew his appeal over the 2024 budget because it has already expired and been fully implemented. The Supreme Court simply struck it out.”

Ugochinyere dismissed claims that pro-Wike lawmakers had received any favorable judgment, clarifying that the governor’s withdrawal was a practical decision.

He added, “The sacked, disgruntled Martin Amaewhule and the pro-Wike group are jubilating out of ignorance. The Supreme Court judgment was based solely on Governor Fubara’s voluntary withdrawal of the case since the 2024 budget had already been fully spent and implemented.”

The opposition lawmaker assured that Speaker Oko Jumbo remains in charge of the Rivers State legislature, urging the public to disregard political propaganda.

“The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Oko Jumbo, is still in control of the legislature. The pro-Wike sacked lawmakers and their gang leader, Amaewhule, remain removed from office,” he reiterated.

Ugochinyere called on the media to ensure accurate and truthful reporting, especially on legal matters, and encouraged Governor Fubara to remain focused on delivering good governance to the people of Rivers State.

He concluded by urging citizens to ignore political distractions and focus on the state’s development agenda.

*NIGERIA'S CAPITAL(ABUJA) SUPREME COURT RULING IS NOT SUPERIOR TO IJAW NATION CAPITAL AGADAGBA(WILBERFORCE ISLAND) SUPREME COURT RULING.* 💙❤️💚..

The Lovers of Ijaw Nation Organization (LINO) is using this medium to remind the Nigeria's President to play his political games with care so that it doesn't end Nigeria faster than expected.

Wike sold Nigeria's Rivers Votes for him for a pot of porridge known as appointment in Abuja and he in return think he can pay that by selling Rivers to Wike in order for his second tenure votes to be guaranteed in Rivers.

Mr Tinubu?
Ijaw Nation is not Nigeria's Lagos State that you can control endlessly and nobody challenges.
We Ijaws are not animals and we are using this medium to tell you that whatever is settled in Abuja remains in Abuja and we the Ijaws have our own ruling in all that concerns us and that does not concern Abuja and the ruling at Agadagba (Wilberforce Island) the Ijaw Nation tribal Headquarters superceeds all..

We are not animals and we refuse to be all in the name of one Nigeria.

Ijaw our past,present and future.

Tinubu ,Wike and APC should just rest and allow governance .

For a government that has failed to deliver their promises to Nigerians and still be executing brigandage in a state whose governor was validly elected tells you the direction of failure this government is heading.

@ecomalchemisttt

Whst you did was quite shocking and it actually belittles you. I saw your post on NL were you were promising to assist with information on phone accessory business.
I actually have a thriving business after leaving the banking sector but was thinking of diversifying my source of income further.

I reached out to you and you gave me a lot of insight for which I was grateful. You suggested I go online just like you do but I said I wanted a physical shop. We have been communicating since last year and I have expressed my desire for a one on one meeting far back as November last year to which you agree.

On the 27th of January being a Monday, I called you to inform you that I will be coming down to Lagos on Saturday of same week from Warri. You said it's ok.

On Saturday, I arrived Lagos, lodged in a hotel and then by Sunday evening, I informed you that I was now in Lagos and would like to meet up with you tomorrow so you can introduce me to some of the importers of these products (phone accessories) and you said it was ok.

Next morning I work up from my hotel room and gave you a call. Your line was not connecting. I tried all through the morning without success.
I later remembered that you had a second line. I called that line also and it rang. The moment you saw my call, you switched off the phone and that was it. I later decided to visit my younger sister in Lekki. All throughout my time there before returning to my hotel room, all your lines were switched off.

You didn't defraud me of any money but I was wondering what kind of a man would allow his fellow man to embark on a journey from Warri to Lagos, make him waste over 200k on hotel bills and logistics and just ghost him? Why can't you man up and just tell me not to endanger my life on the highway? Is this an act of cowardice or extreme wickedness?
Well I'm back to warri safely. Thank you for making me waste money on a fruitless journey when you knew you would chicken out in the long run. I'm bigger and better all the same.
Thank you.
Ps. you complained that people weren't ready to take up your offer on mentoring them in the business. Now you saw someone who was darn serious and you went cold. I won't insult you or anything, but never you post that shiit again because you can't live up to it

A gentle reminder to all of you faqqots who supports the displacement and genociding of Palestinians(thinking they are 100% a Muslim population) because of your unreasonable hatred for Islam/Muslims.
I have a prayer for you,
May you live the rest of your miserable, God-damned, God-accursed, and God-rejected lives the way an average Palestinian lives.

2024 budget is no longer relevant and the court already declare as such.
Tell Amaehule to go and sue fubara regarding 2025 budget which is still current.

Tinubu will demystify you with incisive professional skill. If he can capture Lagos, and by extension, southwest, who are Ijaws?
Be careful,so that you don't lament so soon.

Ijaws are not bigger than Tinubu and Nigerian nation. You do anyhow, you will be dealt with anyhow.

Try Tinubu's will and you will see the outcome!

Oko jumbo assembly doesn't exist according to the law and are mere impostors.
Whatever it does is null and void.

The dull Ikenga couldn't tell which of the appeals was resolved in favor of Fubara.
