Newtopia had a slow start and I was about to start getting bored but thankfully episode 1 ended with the zombie invasion and the drama started making sense from there. Jisoo's acting is still 😩 tbh it's not even about her inability to act cos tbh there have been worse actors thriving, the problem is her poor enunciation. Like I'm not even Korean and I can tell she says her lines like she's mumbling them. If she lacked expression but spoke clearly, it'd be less distracting tbh there are many idol actors that literally have 2 expressions🤣 but at least when they talk you can hear them clearly. YG should invest in a diction coach or a speech therapist for that girl before putting her in more dramas Biko.

Meanwhile this motel California people are taking the piss cos just when I thought ok, uri main couple no longer care about what people think of them, they are ready to date with their full chest, they goan bring this rubbish of the female lead being responsible for the death of their parents and I'm like 😩 can this writer give me a break 🤣 I just have 1 question, Did she plan to spoil the car by putting her doll there, if she did, how did that tiny baby know a doll in an exhaust pipe would spoil a car and if she didn't know, how does a kid even think to put something in an exhaust pipe, I mean if it was a ball, I would say ok it's round, curiosity might do that but this was a freaking teddy bear. I think the writer is just looking for reasons to force separation. Anyway thank God the drama is ending next week so the separation won't be for long. Also the writer is giving me my hanwoo-nanwoo couple so yayyyy lol everyone else can go to hell for all I care

Videos and pictures of their neighbors is not the same thing as leaked photos of a celebrity. You too go and see how many people have been sued by agencies even for something as small as spreading lies about a celeb talk more of actually leaking their pictures. The agencies help a lot and if your hobby is to spend time on telegram looking through leaked footage posted by criminals (which 90% of them is deep fake by the way) then you're not indaboski but a gullible pervert with time on their hands and data on their phones.

My Take On The Dramas I Have Watched This Year.....So Far

Love Scout

I love this drama. It was one of my most anticipated since it was announced last year or so. I didn't really know the characters except the female lead. I later watched the male lead for the first time last year in Dongjae The Good Or The Bastard.

I like the plot of Love Scout. The characters played their parts well. I especially love the male lead's daughter. She is so cute.

However, I don't feel the chemistry between the leads. To me, that's what's lacking.

Check In Hanyang

This one.. hmmmm. I watched it for the male lead. I like him so I am managed the very nonsense drama.

Motel California

I stopped watching this at episode 5. I refused to stress myself over 2 dramas (this and Check In Hanyang) that I don't really enjoy. The leads here are not my favourites so it was easy to drop it.

When The Phone Rings

I really enjoyed this one. The story was good. The chemistry was 'chemistrying'. I could feel the love and restraints the male had for the female lead from the 1st episode.

Towards the end, the suspense was gone but it was ok. This one was good.

Study Group

This is a really good one. I love the plot, the humour, the fights. The male lead is so sweet, loyal, funny, innocent and naive. Lol. I first saw him in Alchemy Of Souls and he was my favourite character. Then I watched him in Lovely Runner, enjoyed him there as well so I was looking forward to this and I am having a good time with it.

As much as I loved Weak Hero Class 1, Study Group tops it for me.
*The fight scenes are more interesting.
*The comedy is really good.
*More information on the male lead, why he learnt to fight, how is struggles with his academics etc..
*Also, the guy is sooooo naive and innocent. It's so cute.
*His is more likeabke
*The villain is psychopath. What surprised me about the bad guy here is that he is a very good fighter. He doesn't just hide behind his minions. Their fight at the end will be brutal.

I am curious about his dad because apparently he is some sort of a genius. So I am hoping they show us more of that aspect of the drama. I don't think the dad was pressuring him academically but I am sure the mum doesn't put pressure on him to succeed. I am also curious about the uncle that trained him and why they cut ties as per the mum's request.

I hope it continues to be enjoyable.


The Queen Who Crowns

I wasn't planning to watch this but I am glad I did. They are still some questions left unanswered and the drama is ending tonight. Hopefully it will be answered in the prequel airing this month....I think.
*It was mentioned in the earlier episodes that the King lived with the queen's family when he was just a prince. Why?
*Why did he kill his brother, the former crown prince?
*Why did the queen run towards them shouting "no" just as he killed his brother?

They should just answer the above for me in the prequel and I will be fine. That's the only reason I will be watching that.


The Trauma Code: Heros On Call

I watched this and it was just an ok drama for me. I really don't understand the hype around it. Doctor Romantic was much more better in every aspect. Far better in my opinion. It wasn't a bad or uninteresting drama but I have seen something better so I really don't get why this one has so much paparazzi around it.


The Scandal Of Chun Hwa

I didn't plan to watch this at all. Decided to try the first episode when it came out and enjoyed it. However, I told myself that I won't take this drama seriously. This is the most informal historical drama I have seen in kdrama. I don't even know the boundaries of the palace. The royal families interact with the public unlike other dramas where the people don't even recognise their rulers outside the palace. The language sounds modern to me but I am not so sure as I am not an expert on the Korean language.

Even more than the main leads, I am very curious about the crown prince and princess. It's obvious they like each other so I am waiting to see their backstory revealed. Why do they act the way they do towards each other?

This king is the most annoying king I have ever encountered in kdramas. How can he kill all his wife's brother? Na wa o. And it's not as if he is a wise king because if not that she was his backbone throughout his reign, he would have been a failure. How did she not hate him though?
Both of them are the typical example of 'don't get involved in a couples quarrel because they will use you to settle '. After all he did to her, she still stayed with him and helped him be a good king.....though he is an idiot.

Aigoo netizens are eating jisoo up for her terrible acting and I'm just like 😩 please drag her to filth and return her back to me safe and sound so I can pamper her back to health🤣. Tbh even Suzy, yoona, taecyeon, minho and Cha Eun woo at their worst times were still better than she is and it's mostly her enunciation of words that's really bad. The only person who was this level bad was hyeri but I think even her got better after a while. Anyway jisoo has her fandom and popularity so she will still continue to be cast in dramas, I mean she has an upcoming drama and movie already and I will watch cos she's my baby but chai girlie needs to do better
