The US civil service does need to be slimmed down and also needs to be more effective in the allocation of funds, I am not much of a fan of Musk and DOGE.

Nevertheless, some spending were outrageous. It is true that government money went into providing hotel accomodation for illegals.

If this was carried out on a small scale, it could have been overlooked, but it was carried out on a large scale. Whether it was city, state, or federal funds, it is just wrong when many of your own citizens are homeless.
