Usually more versatile than the usual engineers. With few added skills you are way more ahead.

From helping with most computer related concerns to field work you can be very useful.

Grab some added skills and you are good to go just think outside the box. You can run short safety course.

Though just ND in Compscience, I presently work as a branch manager in the company where I work. With experience I can handle and fix some related industrial gas issues.

Do not throw away the opportunity, face it head on and you will never regret it. You can ask Chatgpt how you can fit in and you maybe surprise at what you will find.

Not necessarily coding but but that skill will shield you against the 10s of thousands of others that are competing for the more usual positions.

But will the company offer a little bit of training before you resume fully for any position
