CBN To Implement New ATM Transaction Fees From March 1 by olatade(op): 1:30pm On Feb 11, 2025
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced a review on the transaction fees for automated teller machines (ATMs)

In a circular signed by John Onojah, acting director of financial policy and regulation department, the CBN said the revised charges will take effect from March 1.

The regulator said the move would address rising operational costs and enhance efficiency in the banking sector.

On-site ATMs: A charge of N100 per N20,000 withdrawal.

Off-site ATMs: A charge of A100 plus a surcharge of not more than N500 per N20,000 withdrawal.

On-Us (customer withdrawing at the ATM of the customer's financial institution) in Nigeria: No charge

You cannot tax a country into prosperity. Ask yourself, why are industries and SME's folding up and the effect on the economy ? Ask yourself about the current state of Nigeria's export sector and how easy(?) it is to conduct business there compared to other West African countries, ask yourself about the import sector and how morbidly high tarrifs are crippling businesses that rely on imported parts and materials including much of the food you eat though you föolishly forgot that you can never produce or build everything you want, you just have to import many things just like the industrial giants eg China, USA, Germany, Japan, Singapore etc but some crackers in customs believe their primary duty is to increase REVENUE awon oloriburuku. Nigerians, use your head now that it's operational or else. Everything I highlighted here will start showing results within three to six months, some people just deliberately want you to suffer cool

INCREASE in electricity charges
INCREASE in data charges.
INCREASE in ATM charges.
INCREASE in inflation.

ALL these things do NOT pain me.

What PAINS me is that there are SUPPOSEDLY sentient adults mobilising and gearing up to VOTE for APC in 2027.

MADNESS!
