Imagine comparing an OAP to a former Editor-in-Chief of a renowned Newspaper house in Nigeria and Presidential PR handler.

Rufai's downfall will be the fans who over-hype him with quotes like " If Rufai was in this interview he would have fried this guest".

Rufai should attend a cash course on emotional intelligence abeg.

You don't invite guests to interrogate them, otherwise they will never honor your invitation. You can use journalism skills to ask them questions that will get the same response. One day, the host of BBC Hard Talk asked Obasanjo a question, our President was annoyed and asked him if he could ask Tony Blair that. The job is a dirty job but if your guests see you as someone who is interrogating them,they won't answer you unless you are police that has the power.

I follow him on VOP too so I know he is a brilliant guy but when you bring a guest to your show, there are 2 things you don't do. Don't stop them from responding. We want to hear from them, not you. The second is to not to ask long questions that are opinions. Once you give your opinions, you are already influencing their response.

When I saw the interview, I was somehow disappointed because the people who think Bwala was roasted are behaving like kids. In the scheme of things, Bwala cannot make any significant changes in Tinubu's government. He's a spokesman. This is the same way people wanted so much from Abati who was SA Media and not a cabinet member who can order his boss to do things. Nigerians are always looking for who will die for them in the battle they should fight for themselves. It's not Rufai's place to fight your battle. As a journalist,I was annoyed he did not take advantage of educating Nigerians on what this current administration is doing so that Bwala can make a fool of himself. You don't need to embarrass him on air because he changed ship,what you should do is to ask him questions that will make him look foolish when he is answering. You have not won anything because politicians have no shame.

Allow them to fool themselves. Play the clip of before and after and watch how they sweat. I think Rufai should let his guests talk and stop lecturing us. If you want to ask a question, go straight to it. Don't start lecturing us for 2 mins before asking a question. Maybe bachelorhood is why he's like this but he can do better and stop trying to win every fight. Just let your guests fool themselves with tactical questions. It's because of your style they set trap for you on that BRT lane and you too see that no one is infallible. None of us is perfect, keep speaking truth to power but be tactical in how you do your job Rufai and you'll stand out. Many have come before you and many will be after you but be careful of those people who want you to sacrifice your life for them and hiding behind buttons online. Do your job well.

No one would. have noticed the incident if Rufai had practiced what he preaches on Telly. If he had followed the officers who apprehended him asap without attracting unnecessary attention to himself by shouting he would call the governor, perhaps, you and I will be basing our point and views on the issue on assumption. No one who claims he wants a better society wants to escape the penalty for a wrong doing based on their connection to the high and mighty. The same Rufai would never have forgotten same if it were to be another person.?

When Channels TV during the days of Suleiman, Chamberlain and Maupe in sunrise daily were squeezing the necks of PDP members loyal to GEJ and giving APC members soft landing just b4 the 2015 general election, ur type never saw anything bad. It doesn't take away anything from his integrity but when we are matured, we should be careful with how we out people. We should let them do it themselves. Again, people change. With time, we can change our positions but there are ways to prove a point without trying to win. I think he and Bwala should have carried themselves to Twitter hangout to fight for right or wrong, not on air.
