Look at you? The lecturer has no single right to tap her. He has mouth. He should have said “excuse me”. Tapping any one is rude and could be term harassment. Some people could get into anxiety just by tapping them. Secondly, the lecturer cannot go back to demand an insult should be taking back or dragging someone else’s phone. All he has is to initiate a school policy by reporting or sue her. He deserves all he got. In a sane clime, he would even be arrested and fired for this act unbecoming of a professional
Oh please,...

See that video again...the student was moving forward and backwards...he needs to tap her to awake her consciousness that he is about to pass behind her...so, she wont walk into his path.

There is nothing special or wrong in that tap... especially, someone engrossed in videoing herself.

Our Dean made it clear that based on this singular cliche, the University has the right to withdraw your certificate even 10 years after graduation if they find you wanting. He further reiterated that the certificate is not your property, but the University's!

Self-defence. She's security-conscious. If the lecturer had no sinister motive, he could have approached from the front, not from the rear.

Ok, watched the video. This is messy. She's an aggressive lady who may have had 'history'. And read the lecturer's account: she didn't reflex-react as a result of the tap from the rear, but from further altercations they had.

The lecturer's offence: showing up on her video, and tapping her whilst the passageway is wide enough that he could pass by. He had "lordish-I'm-a-lecturer-motive", I could surmise.
The lady's offence: assault, and that's a tenderable case. 😞
She should have come at night to do her content creation.

The other day, I was upset when some of my students were doing a video and added me in without my consent. I only calmed down when they assured me they would edit me out before posting.

She didn't respect the man's rights ab initio.
He must even be commended for exhibiting a high level of self control

There was no reason for the lecturer to tap her. He could've easily asked for her to make room but based on the video, it appeared there was ample room in the back for the lecturer to pass through.

Her verbal insult of the lecturer is not a crime.

However, the lecturer's attempt to grab her phone and force her to delete the video could equate to theft.

I don't know enough about this story but based on what I just saw, the lecturer initiated the conflict and escalated the conflict by further engaging the student

I still don't get it.....

The lecturer had passed only for him to return just because he thought or he heard her use some insulting words. He came to enquire and to tell her to delete her video on the phone and because she refused he seized her phone.....
And the rest happened.....

Well, if I were the lecturer I would have used my phone and take a picture of her or wait till she has sent the purported video online and if I appear in it then I'll report to the school authorities and get my personal lawyer to ensure the case goes to court.....

He asking if she was his student was out of place because if she is she would have not over reacted to the point of biting him except there's more not said or captured.
This is the real world, it doesn't revolve around TikTok. You need to wake up.

Re: UNIZIK Female Student Bites Lecturer For Interrupting Her Dance Video Recording by pocohantas(f):
The video clearly shows she is the one dragging and tearing his clothes. Yet she posted an AI generated explanation twisting events. This attitude of trying to make content everywhere is why many Lagos restaurants are coming up with no picture/video policy. They act like everyone needs to stop for them to shoot those silly dance videos.

She was making a video and moving backwards. If the man didn't stretch out his hand to tap her, she would have bumped into him in an inappropriate way.

Irrespective of the tap, for her to physically abuse him tells a lot. I hope she is rusticated.

From the video the lecturer touched her first. You do not put hands on a person, he could have easily said excuse me, she shifts then he passes. From the video too, one can observe she did not speak to him directly in her response but to someone on the right side of the screen obviously making a comment that the man taped her to shift. What the made the lecturer return to the picture which further escalated the situation?
The man should have just walked on, to hold on to her restricting her movement and demanding she identifies herself is a no no.
Bottomline Mr lecturer no handle himself well. He phone falling and breaking due to him struggling with her to delete the video is enough to make her go ballistic. In saner climes the lady has a good case.
NB. There is nothing wrong in this age of social media for a student to make a tiktok video on campus even in her department.
This is the real world, stop using tiktok brain to function. You opinion behind the keyboard and real life matters are different.

Not everyone likes to have his face in strange videos. It may not be a lecture hall, but it is certainly not a playground. You have your dorm for all of that. Even If it was not a lecturer, she cannot expect other users of the passage way to wait for her to finish her video, or take another direction.

Not adjective.
It's the verb.

Grammatically, bit is the best choice because it's a past event. Bites makes it appear a regular case.

However, journalism feels that the use of the present tense makes the news "always fresh".

Thank you for the observation.

The lady was supposed to edit his part out actually. Although, didn't have to delete the entire video as the lecturer had demanded.

The issue was communication between both of them. They were both furious/angry, or the lady was already angry as a result of his tap she called rude, and violated the lecturer's privacy somewhat.

This girl should be expelled if not for anything, but the fact that you know this is a lecturer, and you still went ahead to grab and embarrass the man like she did is enough to hand down the maximum punishment the University can hand down which is expulsion..

It's so sad that the lecturer and school authorities will be forced to forgive this animal of a girl just because her dad is a fellow lecturer and her useless mom will not allow the man rest if her doesn't make sure she's forgiven. She should immediately be arrested and charged for assault and battery or given a four semester suspension to teach the 300 level old foôl how to concentrate on studies instead of TikTok cool
Says who, so because her parent are lecturers she will violate the school rule, slap n tear a lecturer cloth on recording
And the school mgt will allow it cos she be lecturer daughter , so tomorow another lecturer daughter go slap VC nd they will use it as reference for pardon .. weldone sir
