If you sit down and do nothing, they will claim ownership of your lands . they attempted to claim ownership of parts of Yorubaland (despite Yorubas being a major ethnic group in Nigeria). They deployed all tactics including women, half-breeds, saboteurs etc. all to no avail.

Start educating your folks on the need to preserve Ikwerre heritage, language and culture.. no treaty, not even UN documants allow any ethnic group to claim another ethnic group. This is the reason for diversity which is part of the fundamental human rights.

Kwara State which Ilorin is part of is largely a Yoruba State because Yorubas are the majority in the State.. note that some parts of Kwara State like Edu Local Government Area is home to the Tapas (also called Nupes) who spread up till Niger State.. there are other minority ethnic groups in Kwara State but Yorubas are the largest there and the Yorubas there carry their Yoruba identity with their full chest.
All Yorubas worldwide share a bond beyond what you and your likes can comprehend.. I mean true Yorubas o, not the ones that can't speak Yoruba language or those who don't think in Yoruba but want to become Governor over Yorubas.

That is how they are claiming Abiriba, but they can not understand the language. Ibos claim oguta,ohaji, egbema,ngwa, nsuka and everywhere while they dont understand the language.

Even if they should allow igbos steal it the wealth will remain in the same region, but the north will take the wealth to the north at the end of it all Abuja will become the capital of northern region

They are the biggest losers in this one Nigeria scam , the north is using oil money to build their future arewa republic, with Abuja as their capital, railroad connecting south west to north, and the north to their relatives in Niger republic, south west has already secured their future Yoruba republic with Lagos as their capital, railroad connecting Lagos to Ibadan and it will later be connected to all Yoruba states, minorites in the eastern part of Nigeria are busy fighting igbos over petty things, FG can't even revival the already existed port Harcourt to Enugu rail track , their eyes will clear one day
