If you compare my screenshot to yours you'd notice the emir of iwo is beaming with smile in mine, but looks sad in yours because he's retracting under duress.

Being addressed as emir ushers him into his element but being called oba makes him sad 😆
Oba Iwo is free to abdicate if he isn't happy

The truth is igbo have always being the one fearful of north
Since the days of zik

Why
Because they tend to use the fallacy "Yoruba fears the north" to hide their fears

Why is it that when north taunt Yorubas that when igbos come out to gaslight yoruba
I rarely see other tribes do this

Because they are looking for who to fight their battles in secret.

Why is it that you always want to be north sidekick/beta
In reality when yoruba have ruled as presidents Alpha mode.

Yoruba Presidents have always been the only Southern president to take some bold political policies.
They only react if they face existential threat.

The ignorant(ibos) always take kindness as a signal of fear but it always end up bad for the ignorant

The north knows this and always tend to be cautious and strategic with the tactics of taunting and not gaslighting.

Exactly what an emasculated yoruba would say. I wasn't expecting you to admit your mortal fear of the fulani but it's something everyone in Nigeria knows.

May I also remind you that yoruba and kindness cannot be mentioned together in the same sentence because you're the most cowardly and wicked ethnic group in Nigeria and that's why nobody likes you

Nope. Fulani molest and kill yorubas in yoruba land and you effeminate cowards don't do shit about it. They insult you online and you make excuses for them, how else do you define cowardice?

Recently fulani bike men killed a ronu miscreant and repeatedly ran him over with their bikes and you cowards did nothing but blame the victim for provoking your fulani masters. You're shameless and spineless

A Yoruba man always need crowd or supporters to speak up against oppression.

One Igbo guy was oppressing a Yoruba cleaner who happens to be my boy in my place of work, I had to shout on the trouble some Igbo guy to stop that rubbish or else I will redesign his face.

It was after my involvement and that of other Yoruba guys he started running his mouth. I'm from akoko Edo and bears Yoruba name so I'm Yoruba by extension according to them.

Alex Ekwueme, an Igbo man with PhD kowtowed to Shehu Shagari, a Fulani in 1979 during Nigeria's Second republic, before the Buhari coup that kicked Shagari out of office.
So it's fair to say that Yemi Osinbajo, a Yoruba man, cowtowed to a Fulani man called Buhari?

Let that sink.
The Northerners behave themselves in the East, the Easterners also behave themselves in the North.
The two lions are wary of each other.

But, both Easterners and Northerners challenge Yorubas in the West.
Easterners challenge with words, Northerners challenge with actions if it arises, just like in mile 12 that year, that some Yorubas started denying being Yoruba in their own land.

Lol. Who takes you clowns seriously? Anyone with even a basic knowledge of human psychology will know that envy and inferiority complex is what drives Igbos, like you and the OP, to always attack Yorubas who do not care about you.

It is that envy and inferiority complex that makes you come online to say things against Yorubas which will only leave anyone with a brain wondering about the type of madness afflicting Igbo.

You, OP and your fellow Igbos should think about your actions for a minute. Unprovoked, OP starts a thread calling Yorubas slaves of Fulani yet it is your apex politician, Obi, acting as the personification of Fulani slave with his slavish worship of Atiku while Asiwaju leads bravely and resolutely, as GEJ never could, to the extent Fulanis are plotting their futile gang-up daily and foaming at the mouth online.

Fools like you then join thread to call Yorubas cowards. Yet who would neutral and objective Nigerians see as embodiments of cowardice if not millions of Igbo men that a clown in Finland order to sit-at-home whenever he pleased previously?

Imagine an ethnic group of more than 30 million people being controlled by a Finland based coward who is now crying in a Finnish jail claiming to be a content creator after hands touched him? What is a bigger show of cowardice than the conduct of Igbos based in the SE today?

Opportunist illiterates and cultist killers have taken over the SE yet the reaction of your privileged folks and leaders is to flee to the SW rather than stand ground to fight and defeat a few callous bullies who do what they do because they know the average Igbo male is a coward who cannot challenge them.

Yours is the only region in Nigeria where illiterate cultist killers and cannibals are today leading society and flogging Professors while making eighty year old grandmother's frog-march in public for flouting sit-at-home.

You are the only people who desperately want to famz non-Africans, I.e Jews in Israel, to accept you as one of them whereas Yoruba culture is dominant and trending worldwide today because Yorubas are an assured and confident people who have pride in themselves, their origin, culture and traditions.

Obvious you people don't have an iota of shame and cannot think before you talk otherwise you'd be too busy being suicidal over your reality, linked with fleeing your land in thousands daily to go and sojourn with Yorubas, to have time for coming online to attack a people even a child of ten can tell are far better than Igbos by any metric of measurement.

If you lot had sense you'd know the sane world is noting the malevolent obsession of Igbos with Yorubas is driven by envy and inferiority complex against a people Igbos know are far better than them in every aspect of human existence and endeavour.

Re: Are Yorubas Really Afraid Of These People? by aariwa(m): 2:21pm On Feb 13, 2025
Pelicanbrief:
I've observed that yorubas have a mortal fear of the fulani, even here on Nairaland I see how they don't have the balls to give rebuttals to fulani attacks and disparaging comments against them.

The reason why I find this fearful behaviour absurd is because I've come across articles where yorubas beat their hollowed chests and brag about defeating fulani in wars fought in the past and even boast about eating fulani horses that they captured during the war.

Now, my question is. How does a people end up being afraid of a group they claim to have conquered in different battles and on several occasions?

We all saw how the Timid of Ede hurriedly prostrated before the emir of ilorin and yorubas like helinues started defending a clear aberration and telling us how the emir of ilorin towers above all the yoruba monarchs in rank. What a shame

It's such a curious thing that a yoruba king will travel all the way to ilorin a yoruba city to prostrate before the offspring of an invader who annexed their territory and yet the yoruba people shamelessly found an excuse to defend such absurdity.

I ask again, are yoruba people afraid of fulani? Or is it just a myth?

I'm here to learn just like other curious readers here on Nairaland and I'd like well grounded yoruba scholars to throw more light on this
The Fulani enslaved them in the 18th century and sold most of them into slavery to Brazil, Cuba etc and were converting them to Islam before British advent into Nigeria stopped them. Fulani are scared of Igbo bravery but they love Yoruba cowardice and between June last year till now they have kidnapped and killed hundreds of Yorubas and Obas but they are too scared to complain

That is all anyone needs to see, especially exemplified by how Tinubu is leading independently today, to discern who the cowards are.

Atiku, Tambuwal and other Fulanis made Obi flee PDP rather than fight for his ambition. It was Yorubas, in Bode George and co, plus Wike who took the fight to Fulani Born-to-rule imperialism in the PDP. Wike and Bode George, Ayo Fayose, Seyi Makinde etal have written their names in good as brave men while the Igbos who more than deserved the 2023 PDP ticket all fled or hid.

Is it not clear if Yorubas and other ethnicity were not in the PDP then Fulanis would subjugate and shag cowardly Igbos to death without vaseline? Imagine grown-ass men who cannot stand up for themselves leaving Wike, Yorubas and Middlebeltans in the PDP as those who stood up to the Fulanis.

All Igbo PDP members, despite knowing Igbos deserved PDP ticket for 23 years of loyalty to the Party, hid under their mother's wrapper rather than dare look Fulanis in the face. Obi even praised Atiku for winning the PDP 2023 ticket despite such coming at his expense!!! What a pathetic coward!!

It was Bode George, as he warns below about 2027, who fought tirelessly against Fulani becoming PDP 2023 candidate yet the Igbos he was fighting for were too cowardly to step up with some ( Obi) fleeing while others remained silent like frightened toddlers.

When we all saw what Tinubu did to secure APC ticket, against even the will of the mightiest Fulani in the land, which sane person will say it is not clear who the cowards and Fulani slaves are? Please, which Igbo man dare say what Bode George declares below? Dem born the cowards and "dot in a circle" nonentities well?
