Is it self-hatred or ignorance? Pidgin is our most commonly spoken language across Nigeria. It’s shameful that it’s not even yet our official language in Nigeria. It’s shameful that the language has not been developed and taught in schools. It’s shameful that official announcements at our airports are not done in pidgin. Even Oyibos get it more than us, that’s why they try to speak or write our pidgin whenever they want to communicate with us.
