Though this is fake but there's no how Benin should be No.1 when Benin originated or migrated from Yoruba.

Everyone should rest, there is no how to determine the oldest tribe for now. All the history or data are guess work.

We're not like Europeans that keeps record of all their history.

Lies! Go and do your research very well, Igbos were the first. The meaning of Ndigboo simply means "ancient people". But today, we abbreviate the name to Ndigbo or Igbo.

If I may ask, who are the new tribe formed recently.
As far I am concerned all tribes in Nigeria are old, been it major tribe or minor tribe.
Not heard of a particular tribe before doesn't make it a new tribe, they have been in existence.

Benin immigrated from Yoruba? You don't know much then. The banished king from Benin Kingdom is the oduduwa that the son later came back to become the oba of Benin. Have you asked yourself why is it that the oba of Benin is the first king to speak foreign language in Nigeria, have you asked yourself about the Benin artifact the British empire stole of which they are returning gradually. In fact history should be made as important as medicine, engineering, law etc
