No! It doesn't work that way.

This spreading narrative of calling Jonathan weak is too parochial and can be careless.

Building up to the 2015 election, there were already threats from northern Nigeria, the other guy was already threatening to soak the "dogs and baboons" in blood, US was predicting that Nigeria would end by 2015.

Meanwhile, the man Jonathan who was from a minority tribe had the opposition wielding the north and west against him via propaganda. With series and series of protests and sabotages like that, it was only safe for Jonathan to act that simply. Any act of federal power resistant could have been costly, both politically and administratively.

If he had put out an iron fist, he would have survived most likely. But some of those calling him weak would probably have lost limbs if not their lives. God used him to salvage Nigeria! He was God sent. He was for peace! He is good luck!

We should learn and not repeat the 2015 mistake.
