Sungulani Maxwell Chikumbutso, a self-taught Zimbabwean inventor, recently showcased what he claims to be a groundbreaking energy technology before President Emmerson Mnangagwa. The demonstration featured an electric vehicle allegedly capable of running indefinitely without recharging, powered by Chikumbutso’s so-called “Microsonic energy device.”

The showcased vehicle, reportedly a modified Chinese-manufactured car sourced from Alibaba, purportedly harnesses radio frequencies to generate electricity. According to Chikumbutso, this breakthrough technology can be applied to various modes of transport, including helicopters and motorbikes.

Defying Physics?

Chikumbutso’s claims have shifted over time. Initially, in 2013, he stated that his invention generated power “from air.” More recently, he has described it as a device that converts radio frequencies into usable energy—an assertion that directly challenges fundamental laws of physics, particularly the laws of thermodynamics.

His technology has reportedly failed to secure a patent, with authorities rejecting it due to violations of natural physical laws and a lack of industrial applicability. However, instead of modifying or scientifically validating his invention, Chikumbutso says he has opted to treat it as a trade secret.

A Story of Conspiracy and Resistance

Adding to the intrigue, Chikumbutso has shared a dramatic backstory involving an alleged assassination attempt in Silicon Valley. He claims that he and a business partner were poisoned due to their revolutionary discovery, resulting in his partner’s death. This, he says, prompted his return to Zimbabwe at the personal invitation of President Mnangagwa.

Despite the skepticism surrounding his claims, Chikumbutso continues to attract attention from government officials and investors intrigued by the promise of limitless energy. However, without independent verification or peer-reviewed evidence, the scientific community remains unconvinced.

The Future of the “Infinite Energy” Device

While the Zimbabwean government has not officially endorsed Chikumbutso’s invention, his demonstration before the president suggests interest at the highest levels. If proven viable, the technology could revolutionize energy production. However, until scientific scrutiny confirms its legitimacy, Chikumbutso’s “Microsonic energy device” remains a tantalizing enigma—one that defies physics and fuels both hope and controversy.

It is very bad indeed because a lot of business will close down and even some countries natural resources will go to waste.
