SmartPolician:What is there to interpret again, isn’t it a democrazy that we are practicing here in Nigeria? How can 4 people claim they are legitimate, against 27? |

Moventist:You lie Fubara's defense in that suit filed by the 27 law makers was that they had lost their seats and could not sue the executive over the budget presentation. Stop lying . |

Hmmm! Useless liar, who told you that the supreme Court doesn't decide the issue of house membership? This type of case has been decided before and I don't know why this idiot is saying Rubbish here. In fact most people in Nigeria are foolish.

richmond500:If the words are peculiar to it's field, how come people in thesame field still conflict it's interpretation. Like Helpfromabove1 said, they better use simple English words understandable by all to avoid all these controversies. |

richmond500:The court of Appeal withheld the judgement of the lower court. Spent or not, Fubara's action was illegal. |

OpinionCounts:Because the likes of Falana are grifters that thrive in a chaotic environment so they need to cause confusion to remain relevant. By the way, the original High Court judgement was straight forward . |

zero8zero:Fubara action is not illegal. First the lawmakers defected and at such they automatically lost their seats by the constitution, necessarily, this is a direct constitutional case and need not to go to court. The governor had to pass 2024 budget so he passed it to those who haven't defected yet but the appealate court told the governor to re-pass the budget to the defected lawmakers. Note that the judge didn't reinstall them, Omotosho politically asked the governor to pass it to them, but the gov took the case to the supreme court and later dismissed the case cos the budget has already been spent and hence it became academic. The governor did the right thing |

richmond500:If u automatically lose your sit, how come Ned Nwoko is still parading himself as the Senator representing Delta North? Only a Federal High Court can declare a sit vacant after hearing the reason for the defection, you cannot assume & take the law into your own hands like Mumu Fubara in his miscalculated desperation has done. It is a democrazy we practice in Nigeria, if 27 say a, & 4 say b, the 27 that said a, irrespective that you disagree with their opinion, they are right in the eyes of the law. |
| Re: Rivers Crisis: Falana’s Interpretation Of SC Judgement Misleading- Hon Solomon by zero8zero(op): 5:11pm On Feb 15, 2025 |
richmond500:Omotosho politically asked him to pass it , the Appeal Court also politically asked him to pass it , then Fubara politically withdrew the case and the SC politically dismissed the case. Clap for yourself. E be like your own law chamber na under the tree. |

blacknp:🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Your useless sense without a fact? You think emotions has anything to do with the law? I'm telling you that those fools committed blunders by declaring not to be the members of the state assembly when they left their party and you are here deceiving yourself with your emotional statements. Anyway, what's the difference between you and Olodo and them that committed the blinders?

Hushpuppy20:Even when u go to a court of law, there are some cases that annoy a judge, that could have been settled by common logic, why come & waste the time of the court? I.e a person dies intestate by law his estate is vested in The Chief Judge of the state until the letters of administration is granted, why come and argue otherwise in front of a judge of competent jurisdiction? Only oblivious minded mumus will argue that 4 is greater than 27 in a democracy. |
| Re: Rivers Crisis: Falana’s Interpretation Of SC Judgement Misleading- Hon Solomon by richmond500: 5:18pm On Feb 15, 2025 |
blacknp:I don't know if u are ignorant or outright manipulative. The state lawmakers and Ned Nwoko case is 100% different. Just like election, this 27lawmakers fiasco is a constitutional case and is automatic except there are grievances that needs interpretation and then the court or tribunal will come in. Also this is not "A and B" case, constitutional duties will not be stopped because of the lawmakers. By defection, they have lost their seat until the court says otherwise, in this case, even the court cannot bring them back because that will be a mutiny against its own laws. That is why they wanted to Fubara to pass the budget so they can use it against him that he recognized them and use politics to hold the state ransom. Fubara was wise |

richmond500:You claimed the law makers defected so they lost their sits automatically by the operation of law, Ned Nwoko also defected why did he not automatically lose his seat in the Senate? |
| Re: Rivers Crisis: Falana’s Interpretation Of SC Judgement Misleading- Hon Solomon by richmond500: 5:21pm On Feb 15, 2025 |
zero8zero:It was a political exercise because the court cannot reinstate them, nothing can bring them back. It's only the governor that could recognize them. In this case, whoever the governor recognize is the authentic members as long as they were elected |

There is hunger in the land ! Hunger has no respect for anybody. Everybody is looking for ways to quench his hunger. Even Lawyers too. Only the illiterates will fall into their hands. |

richmond500:The lawmakers claimed they defected because of crisis in the Pdp, same as Ned Nwoko claimed problems in the Pdp is his reason for cross carpeting. So why in your imagination will the lawmakers by the operation of your own law lose their sit, but Ned Nwoko by the operation of your own law in your own mind shouldn’t lose his? They are both legislators, one state, the other federal. |
